Listen, we love pins just as much as the next person (seriously, you should see how many we have in EACH of our homes), but it seems like Disney is cracking down on Disney fans waiting HOURS for the newest pin drop in the form of new Disney Springs rules.
New pins are often released on Tuesdays, and while we love seeing them online, sometimes people prefer to go into Disney Springs to grab them in person. We totally get that, but now, Disney Springs has announced that if you’re waiting for pins to drop or are planning to attend any other merchandise events, you’ll have to change your parking plan.
Disney has just announced that the Disney Springs parking garages, as well as the rideshare loops, will not open to guests until 7 AM on special event merchandise days. This is an attempt to curb people from parking in the garages overnight, and yes, that will include on Tuesdays for new pin drops.
This also means that, even if you’re just planning to get to Disney Springs early for another reason on Tuesdays, or on a day that also happens to be a large merchandise drop, you won’t be able to enter until 7 AM. If you arrive in your vehicle or in a rideshare before 7 AM, you will be asked to leave and come back at 7 AM.
Yes, this will also include parking at the Disney Springs Watermelon, Strawberry, and Mango Parking Lots, in addition to the Orange, Lime, and Grapefruit Garages.
This is effective immediately, so we’re assuming to see it first in place this upcoming Tuesday, June 2nd. We’ll be sure to keep our eyes peeled for all the latest news around this change and to see if it really does help with crowds on pin drop Tuesdays, as well as other big merchandise drop days.

I wasn’t even aware that Disney allowed overnight parking in their garages.
Tow everything after 2 am and block the entrances till 7am.
OMG! I didn’t know this pin collecting was a thing! Spending the night in a garage? That’s crazy!
Not that I would want to be at DS for any reason @7am. But that’s a start, I’ve seen videos and what the cast members have to put up with is ridiculous for these resale sellers. They are not collectors and a shame for those few who are true collectors.
Audrye, where do you see these crazy videos?
I like Disney pins, and while I wouldn’t call myself a collector necessarily, I do have a lot. I just buy the ones I like and I’m not concerned with sets or collecting. I love my Disney vacations even more, and I pay a lot for them. But I wouldn’t leave my room before 7 a.m. unless there was a fire 😂
