I Never Buy Popcorn Buckets, But This NEW Disney One Might Be an Exception

It might be hard to believe, but Pixar’s Cars movie is turning 20 this year (yep, we feel old right now). Well, Cars has remained a popular franchise for Disney, so much so that there’s an entire Cars Land in Disney California Adventure and a new Cars expansion called Piston Peak is coming to Disney World.

To celebrate this big anniversary, the first Cars movie will be returning to theaters for a limited time. AND if you happen to go see it at AMC Theaters, you can also get yourself some brand new Cars souvenirs (and trust us, you’re going to want them).

Cars will be returning to AMC Theaters on September 3rd, and to celebrate, AMC is releasing some SWEET Cars souvenirs, including a Piston Cup…that is actually a cup that comes with a fountain drink. BRILLIANT. But you can also get a Cars cup with a souvenir topper of one of your favorite Cars characters. OR you can splurge and get the brand-new Lightning McQueen Popcorn Bucket. Ka-Chow!

Cars originally premiered in 2006 and grossed $462 million worldwide, making it the sixth highest-grossing movie of that year. It received two Oscar nominations, including Best Animated Feature. It won both the Annie Award and Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film.

We celebrated the 20th anniversary of Cars earlier this year at the Daytona 500, which included photo ops with Lightning McQueen, some brand-new Cars souvenirs, an exclusive tour of a Daytona 500 garage, and chatting with some real NASCAR drivers. It was a great way to celebrate the movie.
