The Festival of the Arts kicks off 2027 at EPCOT, and this year is extra special — it’s the festival’s 10th anniversary, and it’s also running about a week longer than usual (46 days total, compared to 39 days in 2026). In 2027, it will run from January 15th to March 1st. The festival carries a new title: the “EPCOT International Festival of the Arts presented by Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game,” marking Lorcana’s debut as an official presenting sponsor. • Food Studios – Around 19-20 artistically plated Food Studios scattered throughout the park, each offering small bites inspired by visual, culinary, and performing arts

• Disney Lorcana activities – The Ink & Find Scavenger Hunt, the Collection Quest, and the Illumineer’s Lounge, along with exclusive Lorcana promo items and gifts with purchase
• Animation Academy – Learn to draw beloved Disney characters step-by-step alongside a Disney artist
• Expression Section: A Paint by Number Mural – A giant collaborative mural guests can help paint throughout the festival

Just over a week after Festival of the Arts ends, EPCOT blooms into its longest-running seasonal celebration. The 2027 Flower & Garden Festival stretches from March 10th to May 31st, and brings back all the springtime favorites:

• Character topiaries – Elaborate, larger-than-life topiaries shaped like beloved Disney characters throughout the park
• Outdoor Kitchens – Garden-inspired dishes and drinks, mixing returning fan favorites with new menu items
• Garden Rocks Concert Series – Live music at America Gardens Theatre featuring a mix of national touring acts and Orlando-area talent, included with EPCOT admission
• Garden Rocks Dining Packages – Pair a meal at a participating EPCOT restaurant with guaranteed concert seating
• Spike the Bee’s gardens – Larger-than-life garden displays and scavenger hunt fun centered around Spike the Bee in CommuniCore Hall
• Themed gardens and floral displays – Immersive garden exhibits throughout World Showcase and beyond

From March 2nd through March 9th, 2027, EPCOT simply reverts to being, well, EPCOT — without a festival layered on top. That means no Food Studios, no Outdoor Kitchens, no festival-exclusive merchandise, and no Garden Rocks or Disney on Broadway concerts at America Gardens Theatre. For guests who build entire trips around festival food and entertainment (and let’s be honest, a lot of us do), this is the week the internet’s Disney experts say to sidestep if festival hopping is your main goal.

That said, if this window is the only time that works for your trip, EPCOT is still very much open for business, and there’s plenty to enjoy:

• All the classic attractions – Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Test Track, Frozen Ever After, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Soarin’ Around the World, Spaceship Earth, and more are unaffected by the festival calendar
• World Showcase dining – The permanent pavilion restaurants and quick-service spots across all 11 countries run as usual, with no festival crowds competing for tables
• Luminous: The Symphony of Us – EPCOT’s nighttime fireworks, fountain, and light spectacular over World Showcase Lagoon runs year-round, festival or not
• Potentially lighter crowds – Because so many visitors plan around festival dates, this in-between week can mean shorter lines and easier dining reservations at EPCOT specifically

So it’s less “avoid the park entirely” and more “know what you’re walking into” — you’ll just be experiencing EPCOT in its non-festival form.
