We’ve finally hit December as Christmas lights, trees, and wreaths keep popping up around Disney World! And, just in time for the holiday season, the 2019 Epcot International Festival of the Holidays has begun!
Hi, there! You’ve found our reviews for the 2019 Festival of the Holidays. To see our reviews for the 2020 EPCOT Festival of the Holidays, please click here!
While you might be wondering exactly what to snack and sip on during the event running from November 29th through December 30th, it’s a little difficult to try everything at once. That’s why we’ve visited all the booths and created a list of EVERY review from our walk around the World Showcase! We’re talking about new and returning eats and treats this year AND giving you our free DFB-exclusive printable lists of the festival snacks and sips at the bottom of the page!
If you love cookies as much as we do, you’ll definitely want to embark on the Cookie Stroll at Festival of the holidays! All you have to do is purchase the five cookies from the challenge, collect a stamp at each food booth where the treats are located, and you’ll get ANOTHER Completer Cookie from the Holiday Sweets & Treats booth as your prize!
Sounds amazing, right?? The holidays are for snacking on the Chocolate Crinkle Cookie, Linzer Cookie, Gingerbread Cookie, Black and White Cookie, and Peppermint Pinwheel Cookie while you stroll around World Showcase!
We love a great iced coffee, and Joffrey’s serves up some of the best! And, this year for the festival, Joffrey’s Coffee has created four new holiday flavors!
At Joffrey’s Coffee Future World East, you can sip on the Choco-latte made with Baileys Irish cream and chocolate sauce…
…and the Showcase Plaza Joffrey’s, pick up the Coconut Snowstorm latte mixed with Rum Chata and coconut syrup.
While we were on our way to Joffrey’s near the Canada Pavilion during the day, we found that the booth was closed because of a swarm of bees (!!!). Buuut, we were eventually able to get the Ginger Chai Madness when the bees cleared, which is an iced chai tea latte with Baileys and gingerbread syrup stirred in.
We rounded out all the different sweet flavors with the Toffee Coffee at the Joffrey’s near the American Adventure Pavilion. The iced latte is shaken up with Baileys and sea salt caramel toffee sauce.
We can’t blame the bees for wanting a sip of these drinks! ;D
If you’re looking for a spot to fill up on plenty of protein, the Shanghai Holiday Kitchen is the spot for you!
You can try the Pork and Vegetable Egg Rolls, Mongolian Beef, Celebration Barbecue Pork, and Chengdu Street Fries (our FAVE at this booth).
You can wash down all that good food with the Tsingtao Beer, Firework Cocktail, Marco Boba, and The Lucky Mo while you’re at Shanghai too!
The Holiday Sweets & Treats booth lives up to its name with all the desserts and drinks it has to offer!
You can try the Peppermint Sundae, Chocolate Peppermint Shake, Santa Hat Mickey Cookie, Shipyard Eggnog White Porter, and Hot Cocoa when you visit!
Feast your eyes (and your stomachs) on everything the Yukon Holiday Kitchen has to offer!
You can snack on the Canadian Wild Rice and Ham Soup, Peppermint Pinwheel Cookie, Seared Verlasso Salmon, Maple Bûche de Noël…
…and then cool down with the Frozen Coffee and Icewine Flight, featuring Inniskillin Riesling, Pearl Vidal, and Gold Oak flavors.
While this might be a returning booth, EVERYTHING on the menu this year is new!
Start yourself off with the Giant Tostada de Puerco or Tamal de Pollo as your entrée…
…follow it up with the Holiday Cider, Mexican Fruit Punch, or Horchata Margarita to sip on…
…and finish your meal with the Horchata Cheesecake for dessert!
We all know the story of the Three Kings traveling to visit Baby Jesus. For Festival of the Holidays, you can make your way over to the Feast of the Three Kings booth to try eats, treats, and drinks!
Have a taste of the Pastelón, Queso Fresco-stuffed Arepa (kid-friendly version available too!), Tres Leches and Rice Pudding, Chocolate Crinkle Cookie, and non-alcoholic Coquito or the alcoholic version with a Bacardi Gold Dark Rum floater.
With all the food at the Festival of the Holidays, it’s nice to just sit back, relax, and sip on a great drink! And, Prost! has got you covered with their beer flights!
Chill out with the returning flight featuring M.I.A. Beer Company White Christmas IPA, 3 Daughters Brewing 70 Degree Winter Weizen, and Shipyard Candy Cane Coffee Porter…
…and the new flight with Anchor Brewing Christmas Ale, Barrel of Monks Brewing Figgy Terno, and Castle Church Brewing Here I Stand Stout.
If you’ve got a big appetite, then Bavaria Holiday Kitchen’s HUGE menu will definitely satisfy your cravings!
Indulge in the Potato Dumpling with Mushroom Sauce, Pork Schnitzel, or Cheese Fondue in a Bread Bowl as an entrée…
…have a sweet finish with the Black Forest Roulade or Linzer Cookie…
…and sip on the Possmann Pure Hard Apple Cider, Possmann Pure Hard Black Currant Apple Cider, Schöfferhofer Pomegranate Hefeweizen all the while! If you want to try all three, you can purchase the Cider Flight for a trio of tasty drinks! You can also sample the Regional Riesling and Glühwein (or House-made Hot Spiced Wine) while you’re visiting the booth.
Italian food might be one of our favorite things to eat EVER. And, the Tuscany Holiday Kitchen delivers with its eats and treats from around the world!
Start off with the Collezione Barilla pasta, Bianca Neve (Italian Flatbread), or La Genovese (Rustic Flatbread)…
…then have a bite of the Crespelle di Mele (Cinnamon Apple Fritters), Bacio al Cioccolato (Warm Hazelnut Chocolate Cake), Panettone Mignon (Miniature Traditional Italian Christmas Fruitcake)…
…and finally sip on the Italian Margarita, Peroni Nastro Azzurro Pilsner, and multiple other wine options at the booth.
Take a trip to Japan with the eats at the Shi Wasu Holiday Kitchen!
This year, you can try the New Year Celebration Soba, Chirashi Sushi Tree, Matcha Creme Brûlée, Sapporo Draft Beer, Ichigo Milk Boba, and Tsubaki Whiskey Sour.
Next, we’re taking a bite of the treats at Le Marché de Noël in the France Pavilion! Snack on the Rillette de Saumon, Bouchée à la Reine Traditionnelle, Bûche de Noël au Chocolat “Christmas Log”…
…before sipping on the Sparkling Rose Veuve Dubarry Cuvée Prestige along with the Syrah, Grand Vallon, Charles Brotte, and Kir Imperial! But, the real winner is the must-have Frozen Hot Chocolate Martini!!
Whether you’re from New York or just love the city, L’Chaim! is the place for New York delicatessens!
Have yourself a merry little Christmas with the Pastrami on Rye, Smoked Salmon Potato Latke, or Potato Latkes with Sour Cream as an entrèe…
…the Sufganiyot or Black and White Cookie as dessert…
…and the Egg Cream, Chanukah Hanukkah Pass the Beer, or Blue Cosmo Cocktail as a way to toast your friends and family!
We all have our own traditional Christmas eats (my family makes “Santa Snacks”), and American Holiday Table brings our favorite traditions together at one booth!
This year, you can snack and sip on the Smoked Ham, Slow-Roasted Turkey, Chocolate Pecan Tart, Gingerbread Cookie, non-alcoholic Hot Cocoa or the alcoholic Cocoa Candy Cane version, and the Holiday Beer Flight with 81 Bay Brewing Company Cinnamon Cranberry Orange Wheat Ale, Shipyard Egg Nog White Porter, and Playalinda Brewing Co. Peppermint Chocolate Porter.
While we LOVE spotting all the new treats around the Festival of the Holidays, we’re also excited that so many items have returned to the Sapphire Holiday Kitchen!
You can try the Grilled Lamb Kefta Kebab, Confit of Chermoula Chicken Drum, Sfenj, Andalusian “Poinsettia” Cocktail, Casa Beer, Walnut Spiced Coffee, and Bonassia Red Wine at the booth for the Christmas season!
Although it isn’t a booth, Refreshment Port is one of the BEST places to stop during an Epcot festival!
And, the spot is serving up the Turkey Poutine made of crispy french fries and topped with turkey, gravy, cranberry relish, and crispy onions…
…the Barbecue Bloody Mary, which is a vodka and tomato juice cocktail topped with a celery stick, an olive, house-made pickle, and smoked garlic sausage skewer, and a mustard and barbecue rub rim…
…and the delicious T.G. Lee Eggnog and the spiked version with spiced rum for the Festival of the Holidays!
Spiked Frozen Apple Pie — Block & Hans
An apple pie as a slush?! Yeah, the Spiked Frozen Apple Pie Slush is a real treat this holiday season with its Minute Maid apple juice, Monin cinnamon syrup, and Ole Smoky apple pie moonshine!
Mulled Cider — Rose & Crown Beer Stand
Mulled drinks are basically a holiday staple. And, the Mulled Cider mixed with Strongbow hard apple cider, Twinings orange and cinnamon herbal tea, Pimms No. 1, apple juice, and star anise is a great drink to ring in the New Year!
Coca-Cola Cinnamon Float — Refreshment Outpost
We’re major fans of root beer and Coke floats. And, the Refreshment Outpost is creating a Christmas twist on the classic treat with the Coca-Cola Cinnamon Float! The float features the new holiday Cinnamon Coca-Cola with vanilla soft-serve for a delicious dessert that’s refreshing and creamy.
Glace au Pain d’Epices (Gingerbread Ice Cream) — L’Artisan des Glaces
After one bite of gingerbread, you’ll know it’s Christmastime! So, the Glace au Pain d’Epices is obviously a holiday dessert you don’t want to miss out on! The gingerbread ice cream has little bits of chewy gingerbread cookie scattered throughout. While you can get a single or double scoop of the ice cream, an ice cream martini version is available too!
Bûche de Nöel au Chocolat — Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie
Although the flavor of the Bûche de Nöel au Chocolat switched things up to a mint-flavored treat last year, the dessert has been changed back to a previous version for this year’s Festival of the Holidays! The orange chocolate mousse and chocolate biscuit are the perfect combo for all those chocolate orange fans out there!
