Thanksgiving is over and now we’re one step closer to Christmas! This means it’s time for the 2019 Epcot International Festival of the Holidays!
Tucked away in the Germany Pavilion at Epcot’s World Showcase, the Bavaria Holiday Kitchen is a returning favorite!
The Bavaria Holiday Kitchen seeks to celebrate the holidays with a delicious menu of German holiday eats!
So let’s take a look at the food!
First off we have the Potato Dumpling with Mushroom Sauce for $4.50, which is a returning favorite from last year! And we do mean FAVORITE. This dish is smothered in tasty mushroom sauce. You don’t want to miss out on this one!
New this year is the Pork Schnitzel with Mushroom Sauce and Spaetzle for $6.25. Now, this new dish actually outranks the potato dumplings as our new favorite at this booth. We’re lovin’ the mushrooms and this is by far the heartiest dish, although that wouldn’t keep us from going back for seconds!
Next up is the DE-LISH Cheese Fondue in a Bread Bowl with Fresh Steamed Baby Vegetables and Marble Potatoes for $8.25. This dish is another returner and you might not be surprised to know that we love this one. Liquid cheese? We’re in! This is definitely as good an option as any to get your cheese fix!
Black Forest Roulade
If you got to go to Festival of the Holidays last year you might remember the super tasty Black Forest Roulade served with Cherry Whipped Cream. CHERRY WHIPPED CREAM. Well, it’s back for $4.25 and just as tasty, so sweet-tooths rejoice!
AND there’s a new dessert this year. The Linzer Cookie has a tasty Raspberry Jam center and is giving us some serious holiday treat vibes. Plus, it’s super tasty and not overly sweet! You can grab this one for $2.50, don’t forget to get a stamp for your Holiday Cookie Stroll!
Possmann Pure Hard Apple Cider
Moving on to drinks, there are no new options this year but we did see the return of all of our faves from last year! Check out the Possmann Pure Hard Apple Cider! This is a pretty classic cider, sweet and appley with a good amount of flavor! Grab a full cup for $4.50.
Possmann Pure Hard Black Currant Apple Cider
For a twist on the more classic Apple Cider, try a cup of the Possmann Pure Hard Black Currant Apple Cider for $4.50. This one has a much deeper color. It’s similar in flavor but there’s a nice hint of black currant in there too!
Schöfferhofer Pomegranate Hefeweizen
We’re also big fans of the Schöfferhofer Pomegranate Hefeweizen! This is definitely our favorite of the drink offerings at Bavaria Holiday Kitchen. For $4.50, it’s got the right mix of fruity and dry making for a super unique and tasty sip.
Aaaaand if you can’t choose between those three fruity options, opt for the Cider Flight to sample all three! It’s priced at $9.50.
Regional Riesling and Glühwein
There are a few other drink samplings as well. It is Germany after all! For those who like white wine, the Regional Riesling is a good option for $6.00. Or, you can have the Glühwein which is House-made Hot Spiced Wine for $9.00 that will be super tasty on those cooler December days (if we get any)!
The 2019 Epcot International Festival of the Holidays features Holiday Kitchens, Festive storytellers, Entertainment, and more! Be sure not to miss this heartwarming tradition taking place now through December 30, 2019.
