Just outside the entrance to Animal Kingdom’s famed Kilimanjaro Safaris sits a window service counter that offers up treats and a place to hang your safari hat for a refreshing break.
Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery
Kusafiri serves some quick bites for breakfast with a selection of pastries and a more substantial breakfast sandwich. The highlight of the menu — in our opinion — is the Breakfast Totchos! True, Totchos (“Nachos” made with tater tots instead of chips) aren’t exactly known as a “grab-and-go” dish when you’re planning to head directly into the line for Kilimanjaro Safaris. But this dish is worth the time splurge that it takes to eat it.
For the rest of the day, while guests can still find select pastries and coffee available, heartier offerings that you won’t find elsewhere in the park include Rice Bowls.

Plan to stop at Kusafiri if…
You want to eat fast. There’s not usually too long of a line here, so it’s easy to order quickly, get your food, and go on your merry way. Much quicker than a Mobile Order process or a sit-down meal.
You’re on a budget. The entrees and items here aren’t too expensive and are still good quality.
You want to try some unique flavors. Not interested in hot dogs and cheeseburgers? Those with more varied flavor palettes will probably like it here!
Plan on bypassing Kusafiri if…
You’re a group of picky eaters. The flavors in these food items are a bit more exotic, so this isn’t exactly a spot for chicken tender fanatics.
You want to sit down while you eat. All the tables here are standing tables, so there’s nowhere to sit, and there’s no air conditioning.
You want the absolute best Animal Kingdom has to offer. While the food here is good, I’m not going to tell you it’s the best quick service in the park, because it’s not. If you want the absolute top-notch eats, I would recommend somewhere like Satu’li Canteen.
