If you’re skipping breakfast in Disney World, you might be missing out!
We know that the urgency to get to the parks for rope drop and make the most of your morning can be overwhelming, but we typically feel significantly more energized and ready to take on the day if we grab some breakfast. Luckily, there are plenty of delicious options…even some INSIDE the parks! Recently, several new breakfast options arrived at Animal Kingdom and we’ve got some opinions on which one you need to try.
Several new breakfast (and lunch and dinner) offerings have arrived at Animal Kingdom recently, and we’ve tried many of them. From the cinnamon roll at Pongu Pongu to the Pancake Stuffed Sandwich at Drinkwallah, we’ve been racking up the snack reviews in the past few weeks. But there’s one breakfast item that we believe dethrones all the others!
Our new breakfast recommendation? Head to Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery in the mornings to grab the Breakfast Totchos for $10.99. They’re made with potato barrels, scrambled eggs, nacho cheese sauce, cheese curds, and crumbled bacon. YUM!
This is a really decent portion for one person and it’s heavy on the cheese. (We’re big plastic cheese fans here at DFB!) The egg-to-potato ratio was a little off, but we still really enjoyed this dish. With the egg and the bacon, this would be a nice little protein boost to start your day.
You may be wondering — how do these stack up with the Breakfast Bowl at Woody’s Lunch Box in Hollywood Studios? The main difference is that the breakfast in Toy Story Land comes topped with gravy instead of two different kinds of cheese. If you’re a cheese fanatic like we are, then we recommend this Animal Kingdom version!
So if you’re hoping to rope drop Animal Kingdom soon, don’t forget to stop and grab some breakfast at Kusafiri! They also serve coffee, pastries, and some other breakfast items in the mornings.
We’ll make sure to keep you in the loop if we find more new snacks and menu items in Disney World. Stay tuned to DFB for all the dining reviews!

Hunger is the best spice. After riding Tower of Terror first thing in the morning, I followed your advice and got a cinnamon roll and Pepsi at Tower of Terror Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Kiosk. Didn’t regret a single bite. Best way to get your heart running in the morning.
