As airlines and the travel industry recovered from the pandemic, there were all kinds of issues with canceled flights and crowded airports. But despite the chaos, one airline reigned supreme as the one with the MOST on-time flights throughout the year.

We saw extreme fluctuations in crowds for holiday travel seasons, and throughout the year, there were strikes, airline mergers, and SO MANY flight cancelations. Basically, if you traveled at some point during the year, we applaud you for your bravery. Perhaps one of the most frustrating things you can deal with when traveling is getting bumped from your flight…but sometimes it might be worth it!
If you’re planning to travel today or within the next few days, there are some critical updates you need to know about.
Airplanes
An arctic blast has been making its way across the United States, bringing low temperatures to Florida and lots of snow and severe weather to other parts of the U.S. The weather, coupled with lingering staffing issues and potentially other problems, led to the delay and cancelation of many flights ahead of the holiday weekend, throughout the weekend, and into Monday. And one airline, in particular, is struggling to recover.
There are just over 2 weeks left in 2022, so now is the perfect time to start planning your 2023 travel.

If you’re looking for a last-minute big Christmas surprise, a pair of plane tickets to a new location (or back to Disney!) might just be the gift you’ve been searching for. And Southwest Airlines has a couple of major announcements that might affect your upcoming travel plans!
Flying has been a bit complicated recently.
Flying isn’t fun for everyone
There were a ton of delays and cancelations of flights over the summer, and now, holiday travel is picking up bringing the crowds to the airports. But, a lot of airlines have been adding routes to places like Orlando. And now, another low-cost airline will offer MORE direct flights to Orlando!
We all know the feeling — you need help from a company and have to sit on hold anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 hours.

A lot of those calls recently may have had to do with airline travel. Flights are super expensive right now, and over the summer, there were lots of cancellations that left some passengers stranded. If you’re used to calling customer service when something goes wrong, that option will no longer be available from one airline.
Flying can be really confusing right now.
Time to Take to the Skies
Not to mention that it’s expensive too! Some airlines have been offering cheaper flight deals, especially for the holidays, but then you’ve got to try to book them before they sell out, or see if they’re even going to your destination. Flying to one cross-country destination is about to get easier in February though — a nonstop flight from Orlando to Los Angeles is being added to Breeze Airways!
