Yachtsman Steakhouse comes highly recommended by yours truly. I find the steaks here to be some of the best on property, and the service is often excellent.

This craftsman-inspired dining room at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort caters to all taste buds with a variety of dishes, incredible sides, and amazing, cut-in-house steaks.

The Atmosphere at Yachtsman Steakhouse

One thing we love is that you can even see the chefs working on your food because the restaurant has an open kitchen. However, what sets this place apart is that there’s a butcher window where you can watch your meat being cut (however, if that’s NOT your thing, you might want to look away!).

Yachtsman Steakhouse also has several dining rooms with lots of wood incorporated into its nautical design.

Seating is plentiful, with standard tables and chairs, as well as some booths.

Tables are set up with cloth napkins and utensils.

It’s a cozy, kinda upscale vibe.

Make a reservation at Yachtsman Steakhouse if…

• If you want “steakhouse night” that feels like you temporarily joined a yacht club and now have opinions about scotch, Yachtsman Steakhouse is exactly that. It leans classic, polished, and calmer than a lot of Disney dining. It’s a strong date-night pick, a celebratory dinner pick, or a “we need a quiet room and a serious protein” pick.
• If your group is a mix of adventurous and picky. It still works because the menu is pretty straightforward at its core: steaks, seafood, and steakhouse sides, with a few elevated comfort options sprinkled in.
• If you’re doing Dining Plan strategy (or just bracing yourself emotionally for the bill), this is Disney Signature Dining. It typically requires 2 table-service credits per person on the Dining Plan, and pricing lines up with that “special occasion” tier.

Plan a different restaurant if…

• If you’re trying to keep things budget-friendly, this is not your “casual dinner after the pool” spot. Yachtsman Steakhouse has a pricey menu even before drinks and gratuity.
• If you’ve got little kids who need loud, fast, and entertaining, this can feel too slow and too grown-up. It’s a steakhouse pace, and the vibe is more “quiet conversation” than “Disney chaos in a cowboy hat.”
• If your party is coming straight from the pool. Disney’s dress code specifically says no swimwear, so plan accordingly.

Important Information

• We’ve noticed that it’s very loud in this restaurant no matter when we visit, so it might not be the right place for a more intimate dinner.
• There are some great vegan options here.
• The Kids’ menu is especially good here, and the kids’ paint-it-yourself cookie is lots of fun!
