The Crystal Palace features a stunning location: a building in the middle of the Magic Kingdom resembling England’s Crystal Palace, which was erected in Hyde Park to house the Great Exhibition of 1851.

The Crystal Palace is my favorite place to see all my Hundred Acre Wood friends at “A Buffet with Character” — Pooh, Eeyore, Piglet, and Tigger! You can meet Winnie the Pooh and his pals — the only character meal where they’re available.
Dine on selections from a full buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The Characters at Crystal Palace
While each Hundred Acre Wood character comes up to your table and says hi, where they can pose for pictures and sign autograph books, they also do a small parade every once in a while, where they walk through the restaurant with little flags.

The dining room is bright and welcoming. There is a lot of table space, and it’s all indoor seating.

The restaurant has some fun decor, from banners to lights to plants. It’s a beautiful, glass greenhouse-themed interior.
Welcome
The restaurant is super family-friendly, while also being a cute spot for a date.
Topiaries
We totally get how the atmosphere alone could draw people in. Keep in mind that because of the open concept, it can get pretty loud and might not be the best place for a full conversation, especially with the characters coming by. We like to come here for special occasions like birthdays, though, and they have pretty big tables for larger parties.

This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if you…
- Love an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet. You have the freedom to eat as much as you want, when you want! Load up your plate, go back for dessert, enjoy a sampling of small bites, or indulge in your favorite food. The (food) world is your oyster.
- Are looking for a quality meal AND a character dining experience. You can get the famous Churro Mickey Waffles at breakfast, or the Country Fried Chicken for dinner! Think comfort food: it’s like Cracker Barrel, but BETTER. Oh, and you can meet the characters from Winnie the Pooh – they’re so lovable it’s hard not to smile. This is a great character meal with an excellent selection of food, making it a DFB Favorite.
- Need a meal that will please the whole family. Traveling with kids? Traveling with picky eaters? Traveling with diehard Disney fans? ALL are welcome here! This spot is great for families – there are elements (like the great food) that will please the adults, and elements (like the character meet-and-greets) that kids will love.
You should skip this Disney World spot if you…
- Are sensitive to noise and crowds. We’ll be the first ones to admit that the dining room is pretty tightly packed. Your fellow diners will be seated very close to your table. Plus, there’s a little “parade” that happens every so often, complete with music, clapping, and marching. There are a lot of small children here. If that all sounds a little too chaotic for you, you may want to choose another place to eat.
- Clam up around Disney characters. Not everyone loves talking to Disney characters, and we get it! If you or your family feels awkward during character meet-and-greets, you probably won’t appreciate one of the main selling points of this restaurant.
- Hate the feeling of dining in a “fishbowl”. This is not a cozy, intimate restaurant. The dining room mainly consists of tables and chairs (not booths), and the entire restaurant is bright, light, and colorful. We know some people don’t like being seated at a table in the middle of a room, so if you prefer a quiet, secluded restaurant, this is not the place for you.
