Earlier this week, Disney announced that the Play Disney Parks app will be shutting down on Wednesday, September 16th, 2026. The app powers dozens of interactive games across Disney World, including Star Wars: Datapad, Batuu Bounty Hunters, and DuckTales World Showcase Adventure.

Now that the Play Disney Parks app is shutting down with no replacement in sight, what’s happening to these games? And more importantly, what about DUCKTALES?!?
Many projects in Disney World have been delayed or put on hold in the past few years mostly due to the global pandemic.
EPCOT
TRON construction is still going on after the project was delayed, we haven’t heard anything about certain projects that were supposed to be happening in EPCOT, and other projects have been put on hold indefinitely. But, as things pick up again, we have seen some projects completed, like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. And now, one project is finally happening that you most likely forgot about!
