Hurricane Ian made its way across Florida this week, making landfall as a Category 4 hurricane, eventually downgrading into a Tropical Storm, and then heading back out into the Atlantic Ocean.

It’s now become a Category 1 hurricane again, and is coming back onto land in South Carolina. Disney has a resort in South Carolina on Hilton Head Island, and we have an update on what’s going on with the resort.
Hurricane Ian has continued to strengthen as it has approached Florida, causing residents and visitors alike to be on high alert.

Tornado warnings have been issued for one Disney World county, with the rest of Florida under a state of emergency. Much was uncertain about where or when the storm would come ashore, but now it looks like our questions have been answered — as Hurricane Ian has officially made landfall in Florida.
Hurricane Ian is a major hurricane and is on a path that’s expected to impact various areas of Florida.
Be Prepared for Storms
Thus far, a State of Emergency has been issued for Florida, a hurricane watch is in effect for the counties within which Disney World is located, flood advisories and tropical storm watches are also in place, and Disney World has announced some multi-day park closures.
