Whether we’re traveling to Disney World or around the world, we’ve seen and experienced it all. If you’ve got the travel bug like us, chances are you’re keeping up with the latest trends and scams to avoid. In fact, if you plan on traveling to the United Kingdom in 2025, we have to warn you about a new scam that has come to light.
There are many ways to get to Disney World after you’ve finished planning your vacation. Although many Disney World visitors fly into Orlando International Airport, others choose to drive to the resort from their home or rent a car from the airport to drive to the resort.
Driving to Disney World?
Now, we’ve already talked about renting a car to drive around Disney World, as well as keeping you updated on what it’s like driving around the resort, as well as the parking situation. But according to NPR, there’s a scam you might need to know about if you ARE driving to Disney World, and it’s called “smishing.”
Scamming is an unfortunate situation, and you have to be on the lookout for it nearly everywhere you go, no matter what you do.

Even some of the most careful people in the world have gotten scammed, and it’s by no fault of their own. Older adults are often targeted for phone scams, some of them using frightening technology to sound like a loved one is in trouble and needs money, but sometimes text scams are even more dangerous because they can easily seem real. Many Florida residents and those who travel to Florida frequently have been dealing with a SunPass toll scam, but it’s just been reported that those fraudulent sites have been shut down.

Unfortunately, there have been multiple incidents of scamming reported by people who have booked trips through Booking.com.
