With these changes going on, it reminded us of the concept of “seat karma,” so we’re breaking down what that might look like for you on your next flight.

But, we recently learned a travel fact that may or may not have scarred us for life, and if we have to be scared forever now — so do you.

You’re juggling making sure traffic will get you to the airport hours ahead of takeoff, making sure you didn’t accidentally pack some prohibited weapon or substance in your bag without knowing (just me? Okay then, moving on), ensuring you make it to your gate in plenty of time with all your people and bags intact, among 14 million other things. On top of that, some airlines have different rules or function differently than others, and you may be caught off guard. If you’re flying with Southwest soon, here are some rules you need to know before you get to the airport.

As restrictions began to loosen, all of that pent-up travel demand led to HUGE demands for vacations and the things that come with them (rental cars, etc.). Disney has seen some pent-up demand for its parks. But now that travel restrictions have been loosened for quite some time, is that demand going away? Will some of those longer lines at the airport be getting shorter soon? The news is not necessarily what you might want to hear.
The holidays can be a stressful time for lots of people. Add weather complications into the mix and you’ve got a recipe for disaster.

A holiday travel warning was issued by President Biden earlier this week, and delays and cancelations already started affecting airports before Christmas Day arrived. But one popular airline, in particular, has been at the center of some of this travel nightmare.

Not to mention that it’s expensive too! Some airlines have been offering cheaper flight deals, especially for the holidays, but then you’ve got to try to book them before they sell out, or see if they’re even going to your destination. Flying to one cross-country destination is about to get easier in February though — a nonstop flight from Orlando to Los Angeles is being added to Breeze Airways!

There have been a lot of delays and cancelations, as well as some staffing issues. But, there are some positive things, like new routes being added and new resources travelers can use. And now, something else has happened that seems to indicate that things are looking up for the airline industry.
As much as we love Disney World, we’ll be the first to admit that there are some uncomfortable parts of a Disney vacation. Hot Orlando days mean a lot of sweating, walking around for hours can result in sore feet, and if you’re not wearing the right clothes, chafing might become your worst enemy. But maybe one of the least comfortable parts of the vacation is the plane ride to get there!
