Dockside Diner
Formerly known as Min and Bill’s Dockside Diner, this spot is open during lunch and dinner in the Echo Lake area of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. There are plenty of tables right in front, with lots of umbrellas to keep guests comfortable. Though the menu has seen its share of changes, you’ll often spot items like specialty hot dogs and milkshakes.
Please note that this location is sometimes closed (or running for limited hours) on days when fewer crowds are anticipated. Look for nods to classic films such as Casablanca on the cargo surrounding the ship!

Stop if…
It’s the Fourth of July, and it makes you “want a hot dog real bad.” Along with a classic hot dog, you’ve got a few other more uniquely-topped hot dog options on the Dockside Diner menu. So if you’re a hot dog fan, you’ll be happy to know this Echo Lake kiosk exists.
You like people-watching. The seating here is entirely outdoors and situated in a spot where you can literally watch people pass by from multiple angles. See how many “Disney Dad” shirts you can point out in the crowd.
Ronto Roasters kind of freaks you out. While we’re personally “Team Ronto Roasters,” we also understand if you aren’t and would rather stick to the more familiar hot dogs VS the ones with an intergalactic Batuuan flair.
Skip if…
Hot dogs are SO not your thing. Aside from a few specialty beverages, basic shakes, and a bacon macaroni and cheese dish (that we’re not entirely all that impressed by), hot dogs are the name of the game at Dockside Diner. And if you’re not a hot dog fan, you’re not going to be a fan of Dockside.
Outdoor seating? In Orlando?? Yeah, no thank you. It’s not the first completely outdoor quick service you’ve seen on today’s list, and it’s definitely not going to be the last. But if you’re on the hunt for a meal that’s away from the sweltering Orlando sun, this is not the place to find it.
Oi, my spine! Speaking of the outdoor seating, all of the Dockside tables have picnic table-style seats. And that means zero back support. Is that a huge reason to skip this restaurant? Maybe not. But it could definitely raise a red flag for you.
