When it comes to snacks, Disney tends to be ahead of the game.
New snacks are always showing up in the parks, and sometimes they’re unique but delicious twists on classic snacks and desserts that we all know and love! We found a snack today that falls directly into that category.
You can find this yummy dessert at Dockside Diner in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This is the Banana Split Parfait, made with chocolate mousse, banana mousse, and fresh strawberries topped with whipped cream and spiced pineapple.
This spin on a classic banana split can be purchased via mobile order for $7.49. You can’t go wrong with chocolate mousse and all that whipped cream! We really enjoyed this snack and would definitely recommend it to those of you who are fans of a classic banana split. This is such a fun and indulgent snack that’s easy to eat while walking around the park.
The treat is served cool, which makes it taste very fresh — great for a warm day in Florida. The strawberries are served in big chunks (like, half-strawberry-size pieces), and the pineapple is spiced so it warms your tongue when you eat it. The banana mousse tasted like banana pudding to us, and it was very smooth and light, although it had a bit of an artificial flavor to it.
There’s a LOT of strawberry juice in the parfait, and it all seeps down to the bottom layers when you take a bite. The chocolate mousse is super rich, and it overpowers the other flavors when combined with the different elements. It’s still super tasty, but if you don’t love chocolate then you might be put off by that.
Overall, this was exactly like a banana split that was just missing the ice cream!
