Portugal will replace Scandinavia as a new booth at the 2011 Epcot Food and Wine Festival.
Exciting new information from one of our favorite people! Matt Hochberg of the WDW Today Podcast recently interviewed a Disney marketing cast member who revealed some interesting info for us foodies!
The theme of the 2011 Epcot Food and Wine Festival will be Passport to a World of Flavors, and the new World Showcase Marketplace Booths we’ll see this year include Scandinavia Portugal, the Caribbean Islands, and Hawaii.
The cast member mentioned that the new Hawaii booth will likely include many of the flavors guests are used to seeing at Disney’s Polynesian Resort, like pineapple and coconut bread!
To get a good feel for what to expect, check out our 2010 Epcot Food and Wine Festival booth menus and photos here!

I can’t wait to see what they have at the new booths.
Which one are you most excited about? Even though the Polynesian food is very close by, I think the Hawaii booth intrigues me most… followed closely by Scandinavia. Cashing in on the IKEA craze? I hope we don’t have to put together our food ourselves! 🙂
These little tidbits make me SO excited for our upcoming trip during the Food & Wine Festival! The Scandinavian booth sounds unique – it’s not often we can taste truly authentic Scandinavian cuisine here in NJ! 🙂
JoAnn — Me, too!! Countdown to Sept. 30th!!
Nate — Ha! I hope we don’t have to put our food together ourselves, too! But at least it will be cheaper… 😉
Holly — I’m not sure I’ve EVER had authentic Scandinavian cuisine!
Isn’t there another special event the weekend following the Swan & Dolphin Food Classic? I seem to remember something but my brain has lost it. Any help would be appreciated.
I’ll miss F&W by just 4 days:( But maybe I can swing another trip in October! Would love to try the flavors of Scandinavia, Caribbean and Hawaii! All sounds sooo yummy!
This will be my first F&W trip! I am looking forward to Hawaii ( as long as it isn’t fish!). I just finished my airline ressies tonight and got my resort booking too! Registered for the foodie fest so I am all set! Just need to decide on the dining plan or not.
I saw on the site that tickets are available for purchase for the after the race party at Epcot for people not running. Is this only for friends and family of runners or can anyone purchase a ticket? Thanks!
Looking forward to Hawaii booth. Lau Lau and Malasadas anyone?
the better bring back the wine lounge
