We all love sampling and drinking our way around Epcot’s World Showcase, right? Well, things just got a little more interesting on that front, with the introduction of After Hours Wind Down!

you enjoy Illuminations over World Showcase Lagoon (yep — AFTER the park closes!), purchase a ticket and choose from four of World Showcase’s hottest spots for drinks and small plates! (We’ve got a sample menu for you at the bottom of this post, so keep reading!)
Tickets are available today for dates starting Thursday, April 17, and running through mid-September on select nights.
Choose from the following spots in Epcot:
- La Cava del Tequila in the Mexico Pavilion
- Rose & Crown Pub & Dining Room in the UK Pavilion
- Spice Road Table in the Morocco Pavilion
- Tutto Gusto in the Italy Pavilion

This is a hard ticketed event. The price for admission to Epcot After Hours Wind Down is $35 per guest, and entitles the guest to one beverage and a selection of light snacks. Tax and gratuity are not included in the cost.
After guests enjoy their included tasting, they’re free to stick around and enjoy the venue until 11 p.m.
We think this is going to be huge! Advance Dining Reservations are available 180 days out, so we definitely recommend that you take advantage of them if you’re interested. I know I am!!

While we are still awaiting to hear the full menus for all of the venues, we did manage to get our hands on menu information for La Cava del Tequila. 😉 We have a few details about some of the other menus as well.
At La Cava, guests will enjoy a sampler of the following dishes:
- Ceviche Acapulqueño (Shrimp cocktail Acapulco Style)
- Tlacoyo de Puerco (Marinated Pork served over a grilled corn dough, garnished with mixed greens and crema)
- Tostada de Tinga (Shredded chicken served on a tostada, garnished with mixed greens, creme fresco and avocado)
On the drinks front, guests can enjoy a choice of the following:
- Tequila flight
- Shot of Tequila Ambhar Blanco
- Shot of Tequila Partida Reposado
- Shot of Tequila Casa Noble Añejo
- Shot of Mezcal Sombra Blanco

So far, at Spice Road Table, we know that guests will enjoy a menu that “may include Lamb Sliders, Chicken Rolls, or Moroccan Sausages paired with a White or Red Wine Flight.” And over at Tutto Gusto, we expect to see an offering that “may include traditional cured meats, cheeses, and Italian Antipasti paired with Italian wine flights.” We’re still awaiting word from the offerings at Rose and Crown, and we will share them with you as soon as we can.
Keep in mind that to enjoy After House Wind Down, regular admission to Epcot is required AND separate admission for the Wind Down is required, and is not included in the regular ticket price. After Hours Wind Down begins immediately after the conclusion of Illuminations.

I am really excited about this! To all the people dissing the idea, I think you’ll be missing out on a really cool experience. But it just means more room for me and my BF to choose our restaurant 🙂
For those who wondered about kids, I just called Disney Dining and the woman told me it was for guests age 21+, so no little ones running around during adult time! I am really excited to try this option, and I was even able to *change* my reservation from Tutto to Rose & Crown! I can’t wait!!

@Dan & @Carter I’m glad no kids either. I was hoping no kids at the Illuminations Sparkling Dessert party too, but they seemed to change that to $29 for kids. I think kids are great, but they don’t belong everywhere, certainly not bellying up to the bar. And Disney does offer baby-sitting services to illustrate that they don’t just cater to families with young children 24-7. They do have other guests. Hoping I didn’t offend, but it’s nice to enjoy big kid time. At Mizner’s one night, some families’ 3 SMALL children were taking up 3 seats @ the bar.
On the other front, the food descriptions are not specific enough for all venues. I would hate to pay $35 & not get to eat b/c it’s all fish or a scotch egg-blech 🙂

@jackie I agree with you. Love my kids. Like going out to adult not events especially at a bar. $35 including a drink and food doesn’t seem high to me but everyone had their own budget.
So glad there’s no kids too! They are a lot of fun but it’s great to have some adult time. My sister-in-law and I booked La Cava and are so excited! My family and I may make another reservation as well for Tutto Gusto at some point in the summer. If there was no wine flight or tequila flight option, I wouldn’t have booked it for $35. But I’m looking forward to something new!!
Jules, for $35.00 you can get 3 drinks & fish & chips at the rose & crown. for $35 you’re just getting 1 drink & small bites. with tax & gratuity it comes out to $42.50 yes, money may be no object to some, but even those with money will want value with what they spend. For 2 people at Rose & Crown it will run you $74.20 + tip (15% is $11.00)so a total of $85.20 what is there to do for another 1-1/2 hrs?
for lunch you can get 4 beers, 2 Fish & Chip platters for $87.50.
Have Rose & Crown Pub booked to try it out. $35 seems a little high for 1 drink and snacks, hope there are a lot of snacks and they are unlimited. We love EPCOT after hours so this will be really cool.
I love drinking and eating at WS, but no way will I spend $35 (+tip, right?) for a shot and a snack. You can take half an hour walking out of WS if you’re a fan. That puts you at 10pm pretty much.
So, nope, nope, nope.

Glad to see that there are other people out there with the same opinion. Apparently there are people like Keith who think I am a terrible person for my views. If thinking that small children should not be hanging around at bars makes me a bad person, then so be it. 99.9% of Disney is kid friendly and kid-centric. Some people just want to unwind and act like *gasp* adults!!
You’re definitely not alone Carter, I agree with you as well. I’m in my mid-20’s and will be there with my boyfriend in 2 weeks who is mid-30’s, and so it’ll be nice to have an event separated from children. I love kids, I want my own one day, but not absolutely everything at Disney has to include children, seeing as how 98% of everything they do is for kids. Adults want to have a romantic relaxing time too!
WOW!!! My wife and I are in agreement that last night’s “wind down” at CdT was the most fun we’ve ever had at ANY Disney food and beverage experience! Gilda’s presentation throughout the tasting was both highly entertaining and educational even to someone that is already very knowledgable about all things tequila. I’d do it again in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone. The $35 price of admission? BARGAIN. I expect that will rise to $50 once word is out and the reservation becomes hard to obtain. There were eleven guests last night. We were extremely fortunate to be seated next to the editors of this blog and also mealtrip.com. This should be on anyone’s short list if you love tequila, Mexican cuisine, or unique Disney experiences.
Two nits to pick: More appetizers should be available for guests and do not allow EMH guests into the bar area after the tasting presentation. That said, it was the inaugural night and Gilda was very concerned with getting feedback from us. Can’t wait for the next time!

I also saw some reviews from Touring Plans tonight, and it’s not $35 for ONE drink, it’s $35 for the FLIGHT, which is samples of a few different tasters. Also, the tasting itself lasts about half an hour, but you’re able to order additional drinks until 11pm, so you’re not limited to the tasters. Definitely looking forward to our Tutto Gusto night!
This sounds awesome to my hubby and I! I have the dining reservation but that is all I have. Do I need to purchase a ticket ahead of time? Or are we charged the $35 when we sit down? Thanks so much!!
Darcie, you just need the reservation, and seperate EPCOT admission of course. Check brought to you at end of wind down. The check will be for the $35 admission(s) and any other items you consume during wind down. HTH
I’ve noticed a couple of people, @Jackie , @Jules, @Dan , and @ Carter, are happy that kids are not allowed….this is NOT true!! I booked it for my family of 4, 2 of them are teens. Now, they won’t be bothering anybody, but really young kids might bother some people. But I spoke with WDW Dining, and although they will not get the alcohol, and there is no price reduction, they are welcomed… the lounges will even make them special drinks. Just wanted to let you all know, in case you are planning on doing this BECAUSE kids are not allowed. Just wanted to clarify!!
Jennette- I respectfully have to disagree. It’s obvious that infants, toddlers and Tweens do not belong at this event, and neither do teens. For different reasons. The main focus of this event is drinking tequila. After we started enjoying the tequilas and meeting the other guests, conversations flowed easily across the tables. Adult conversations. Witticisms and jokes with double entendres and innuendos would be stifled with the presence of ANY non-adults. This isn’t to say the guests were inebriated or lewd, but the presence of non-adults would certainly have ruined the enjoyment factor for us. Also, I remember being the non-adult on trips with my parents as we attended events specifically geared for adults. I felt awkward and out of place. I know you love them, but give them the $70 and send them to the arcade or something. I realize you want to enjoy this event, but your enjoyment will lead to the other adult guests receiving much less enjoyment. I can’t see them getting any pleasure out of this experience. It’s not fair to the adults, for whom this experience is designed for. Please reconsider.
I agree with Patrick. This experience is an “after-hours wind down.” No children should be allowed to attend. Adults only expereinces are rare at WDW. I want to be able to learn from Hilda and enjoy the atmosphere. If folks cannot find someone to watch their children,(under 21) then they should not attend. There are plenty of children/family-oriented expereices available.
Leaving 5/13/2014 and going to attend 2 nites of “after-hours wind down” can’t wait.
When this event was first announced it mentioned adults. That later changed to guests. I am disappointed in Disney doing this as I think every parent needs some adult only fun and this is more of a happy hour than the type of event you should bring your kids to. It is late at night and to me letting children (under 21) attend just takes away from the point of it.
Looking at booking the “After Hours Wind Down!” at the Rose and Crown in June. Has anyone booked this event at the “Rose” and if so, what are the appetizers and flight offering? Will have 6 people, $210 + Tip so want to make sure the event has value.
I just did the event at Rose, so I hope this helps! The app offering was some English cheese with caramelized onions, two small (but filling!) slices of a beef Wellington type dish, and a scotch egg (basically a hard boiled egg with a tasty breadcrumb coating. The beer offerings were Guinness, Bass, Harp, and Strongbow cider. I wasn’t overly impressed by it, but I think that particular evening, it seemed like they just needed like, 15 more minutes to get ready, haha. The service was still really good, and the servers were very friendly. I would do the Wind Down again, and the only reason I wouldn’t do this spot again would be to experience the others. Hope you enjoy!
Any idea why it’s only offered to September? Would love to do this but we aren’t visiting until November
Wondering if anyone knows if they will have offerings further into fall, as we too aren’t going until November. Would love to go to this with my husband, sans kids of course! We too need some time… Disney is a great family place, but also adults should have some alone time, if we choose to pay for some, of course!!!
My guess is they are doing it until the Food and Wine Festival starts which is mid-late Sept.
I just noticed today that this offer has been extended through November 9th. Good news if you have a fall trip planned!
Does anyone know if Hilda is still doing the La Cava event? Anyone been recently? Glad to see this extended into Sept. and just booked it for the end of Sept. but want to be sure that you still are getting the class on tequila as well as the samples which makes this more worth it to me than the other three offerings. Has there been any changes made since they started this?
Totally agree with the no children allowed for this, and my son would kill me if I dragged him to something like this. He would be bored to tears (and he’s 20)!

This was the worst experience ever. If you think sitting on a bucket and eating of a T.V diner tray or a rock is a good time then it is right up your alley. Mcdonalds has better service than this pig pen.
