Walt Disney World’s Minnie Van Service
has been shuttling guests of Disney Resorts around the Disney Property in fun polka-dotted vans for about a year now. After a test period at select Resorts the service was expanded to guests at all Disney Resorts earlier this year – then expanded again to whisk people to Orlando International Airport.
The Minnie Vans are Disney-operated personal rides that guests can book through the Lyft app (airport rides are booked by calling 407-WDW-PLAY). The Minnie Vans are driven by Disney Employees.
Currently, the fee for a ride in a Minnie Van is a flat $25 around property, while a ride to or from the Orlando International Airport is $150. However, in the coming days this is about to change according to wdwmagic.com.
We have learned the Minnie Vans are moving to a distance based pricing model instead of a flat fee. In addition, the Minnie Van service will be expanded to include guests at Bonnet Creek, Flamingo Crossings, and Hotel Plaza Boulevard resorts.

We used a Minnie van at our last visit in May and it was a lifesaver! Our fussy 7 month old, exhausted 3 year old, and tired 10 year old would not have made many friends on the bus leaving Magic Kingdom after fireworks ?? WORTH EVEY PENNY!

I love love love Disney Transport, been going for many many years and I never use a rental car. I love the options for bus, boat, monorail. I have not tried the Minnie Van service yet and hope to do that on my visit next year.

I love using Minnie Vans. Yes, it’s pricey but what is’nt at WDW? The drivers are very professional and friendly and the cans are very clean.

Do you have any information regarding distances from Resorts to Parks, etc. to help out of town visitors know in advance how much money to plan for if they use a Minnie Van?
DFB Sarah says
Barb, your best bet is probably to use Google Maps or another web-based map program to search driving directions. (Usually you can just type in the place (i.e. Animal Kingdom Lodge) and it’ll pull up the location — no need to use exact addresses unless you want to be really specific.) Though the drivers might use a different route than the one you find a map, you’ll get a ballpark idea of the distance.

I was so excited when I first heard of the minnie van service because it was being run by Disney. I unfortunately must use a scooter to navigate Disney and I thought, certainly Disney would have vans to accommodate those. I was very disappointed when I learned that there were only 2 such vans and it seemed that one of them was always out of service. My experience with using this service has been good when I have been able to use it, but the scooter vans are hard to get and overall I find more frustration trying to use the service than it is worth.

If your scooter disassembles somewhat, you can take it in any Minnie Van. We put my scooter in the back after we lowered the front to lie down on the seat. We had to help the driver load it into the van but it really wasn’t a problem and was quick and easy.
