Disney Springs is a shopping, dining, and entertainment district within the Walt Disney World Resort. Here you can shop not only Disney stores but also well-known brands like Uniqlo, Coach, Sephora, and more! Many guests choose to spend an evening or even an entire day at Disney Springs during their trip. If you’re coming to Disney World and want to visit Disney Springs, you’ll need to know how to get there.
When planning your Disney trip, thinking about transportation in advance is critical to ensure that your vacation is as seamless and stress-free as possible.
In addition to learning the ins and outs of getting around Disney World during your stay, you need to decide how you will get to your hotel from the airport. Disney World used to have the Magical Express — a bus service that picked you (and your luggage) up at the airport and took you straight to your Disney World Resort — for free! But that service ended in 2021, so if you haven’t been to Disney World since then, know that you’ll need to plan for your own airport transfers. Don’t worry, though! We have a complete guide that lays out all your options here.
We already know what you’re thinking: Can’t I just Uber? The answer to that is YES! Just like at any other airport, you can use Uber to get a ride from the Orlando Airport to Disney World.
Disney World has changed A LOT over the past three years.
Since Disney World’s reopening after its historic closure, we’ve seen limited capacity come and go, park pass reservations get introduced, entertainment slowly coming back, and other changes. In January 2023, Josh D’Amaro, the Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products, outlined NEW changes coming to the parks. However, he also mentioned that these changes may not “address everyone’s feedback.”
A fun way to travel within Disney World just got a lot more exciting!
Minnie Vans, the iconic specialty cars run by Lyft, are now going to include an entertainment option that will keep the fun-levels high even when you’re stuck in traffic.
Getting around Disney World can sometimes be a little stressful.
Disney transportation is something that we tend to have a love-hate relationship with especially when trying to get home at the end of a long park day. That’s why we’re so excited that Minnie Vans are returning to the parks and Lyft is helping us celebrate! [Read more…]
When the Magical Express (a free service provided by Disney that would take guests to and from Orlando International Airport) ended its service, several options stepped up to fill its place.
The Sunshine Flyer was one of those options. In addition to the Mears Connect buses and rideshare apps like Uber and Lyft, guests can take the Sunshine Flyer directly from Orlando International Airport to Disney World and vice versa. Now, the Sunshine Flyer is offering a special deal on rides to and from Disney World.
Rideshare services are readily available in Disney World, but one might be a bit more “magical” than the rest. We’re talking about Minnie Vans, which are Minnie Mouse-themed vehicles operated by Lyft that provide direct and private transportation around the Disney World resort.
When Disney World reopened, Minnie Vans did not return. We recently got an update about the service returning on June 29th and even saw some Minnie Vans in the wild, and now we’ve got another update!
Disney World is full of surprises!
A confusing Genie+ rule was made official, we know some key details about the reimagined Finding Nemo musical as well as the return of Minnie Vans, and we tried some very odd ice cream — that we actually liked! Find out all the unexpected Disney World news right here.
