The Animal Kingdom is always a fun park to visit, and this week’s visit kept us busy with lots of new items including #Mickey90 ears, some fun Christmas gifts, new food, and construction updates.

We love how relaxed this scene makes us feel — before we dash around the park! Here’s everything we found this week.

What’s New on Animal Kingdom’s Discovery Island

Well, one thing we didn’t find was the new (and awesome) tumbler at Creature Comforts, this park’s Starbucks location. When we asked about it we were told it was sold out.

They do have plenty of the “older” and equally awesome tumblers with Mickey on them. Want to know what we’re talking about? Check out our post on the new tumbler here.

Even though it is still labeled a Thanksgiving cupcake, we spotted the turkey cupcake in the bakery case! We also saw this turkey cupcake is still the specialty cupcake at Pizzafari and Restaurantosaurus.

What’s New in Animal Kingdom’s Africa

If you’re looking for the snowman stein or gingerbread Mickey straw for your drink, head to Mahindi where you’ll find all of these — plus the return of the Animal Kingdom Drink Canteen. The Canteen wasn’t available when the holiday items first came out, but it is back now. Also, hot chocolate is available!

If you’re looking for a cup of coffee to warm up on these “chilly” Florida days, stop over at Dawa Bar where they’ve added Coffee with Amarula to their offerings — as well as bagged chips.

Quite suitably, Cuties mandarins are now available at the Harambe Fruit Market! 

We noticed the Shave Ice Cart was not in Harambe Market on the day we in the park. We don’t know if this is now seasonal, or just because of the cold snap we’ve had. We’ll keep you updated on the status of the cart.

What’s New in Animal Kingdom’s Asia

Yeah! The construction walls are down and the construction is complete for both Upcountry Landing and Drinkwallah.

Royal Anandapur Tea Company

has seasonal drinks on their menu. Enjoy a Peppermint Mocha Latte or White Chocolate Gingerbread Latte — plus you can “make it spirited” with your preferred cordial!

And we couldn’t resist a photo of this Cherry and Cheese Danish! It even looks seasonal!

If you didn’t get a souvenir Lantern Stein the first time they were out you’re in luck! You can grab one at Thirsty River Bar and Trek Snacks.

What’s New in Animal Kingdom’s Dinoland U.S.A.

If you’re an IPA Beer fan, you can now find Old Elephant Foot IPA at Dino Diner, Dino Bite Snacks, and Trilo Bites! And now you can enjoy your eats and drinks while sitting on some of the added picnic tables we saw around Dinoland.

Chester and Hester’s was a fun stop for us, because we saw the Mickey Mouse Club merch that made its debut in World of Disney in this store as well.

We also found these new, super cool Ugears model building sets. There are three options with these — a Walt Disney Railroad Engine, Monorail, or Main Street Trolley.

The detail on these is amazing.

We’re guessing if you are, or have a budding engineer in your house, these will be added to your Christmas list.

Which one will you choose? We might get all three! Finishing them is another matter!

A stop in Riverside Depot on our way out of the park was rewarding. We were able to get a pair of the Gold #Mickey90 ears! You can also get these at World of Disney in Disney Springs.
