is a VERRRRY seasonal quick service spot uniquely located on Tom Sawyer Island at Walt Disney World. Finding this fun, casual restaurant open is a bit of challenge, but when you do, it’s a terrific place to grab a quick bite — particularly when the weather is amenable to outdoor dining on the front porch! And for a short time this month, Aunt Polly is welcoming diners!

The restaurant will be open from March 9-16 between 11AM-3PM and serving up some simple quick service eats! Becky’s Buttery Biscuit BBQ Sliders are back (Click here to read our review of Aunt Polly’s Biscuit BBQ Pork Sliders!), and we love the quaintness of the Peanut Butter and Raspberry Preserve Sandwich.
Other fun bites include a Peanut Butter, Nutella, and Banana Sandwich; Soft Pretzel Sticks; and Mississippi Mud Brownie.

That looks and sounds tasty!
I worked there in the late 70’s. Tom Sawyers Island was often packed and Aunt Polly’s was open every day and longer hours. Even had a small place in Ft. Sam Clemmens that sold chips, drinks and soft serve.
Ant Polly’s had the best dutch apple pie ever and a PPJ on Raisin Bread that they served with a 1/4 slice down the middle pickle.
Wish it was open more often!
Just curious, why is this place very seldom open? I don’t understand wasting the space?
Marilyn, if we had to hazard a guess we’d say it’s due to crowds (or lack thereof).
Marilyn, some dining establishments around Disney are only open certain times of the year as crowd sizes swell. Spring Break is going on right now, so there are a ton of people to accommodate; most of the seasonal restaurants will open. If a counter service place was never especially popular, Disney will open it only on a seasonal basis rather than waste the food and labor.

Sadly, due to the only method of access being the rafts, Tom Sawyer’s Island sees relatively little traffic. No improvements are planned to the island because it’s currently grandfathered in to the Americans With Disabilities Act and making the island compliant is just deemed not worth it financially.
Factor in all that, not enough demand to open Aunt Polly’s except the busiest of times. (Spring break, 4th of July, Xmas)
I think it’s never open because it’s a hassle to move the supplies over to the island. On the same topic, why are there CocaCola machines that are ALWAYS not working? Even in your photo above, they are roped off with a note saying they’re not functioning. I assume they’re never operational because it’s a giant struggle to get flats of soda over there. To me, why don’t they remove the machines and stop teasing me? (That covered porch would be great for enjoying a cold Coke…)

Amanda, some of the menu items are snack credit eligible, but the sandwiches/’entrees’ are not DDP eligible.
