Greetings from the Magic Kingdom! We have plenty of updates for you from our most recent visit including tons of new merchandise, construction updates, and more. Lots is happening at MK — including new sweet treats!
So let’s get started, shall we?
Before we even got inside the park, we noticed the incredible construction outside of the park is still underway.
You can see a bit of stone work among the construction, although it’s still TBD on what this will officially be!
What’s New on Main Street U.S.A.
We walked right down the middle of Main Street U.S.A. — and directly into the Main Street Bakery where they are displaying the Spring Seasonals menu!
Fans of the Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino, S’mores Frappuccino, and Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino will be delighted that these Starbucks drinks are available to enjoy during your day in the park.
Also, in Casey’s Corner we tried out the NEW Celebration Brownie!
This simple but actually pretty delicious brownie is available now through June. You can read our full review here!
What’s New in Adventureland
Arggggh mateys! Pirates who planned to eat at Tortuga Tavern should note the restaurant is now currently under refurbishment.
No news on when the Quick Service location is set to re-open, but we will keep you posted of course! For now, we recommend moseying on over to Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe for lunch.
We also LOVED the new “Wish Granted” Donut from Sunshine Tree Terrace.
You can read our full review of this magical treat here!
What’s New in Fantasyland
A few items caught our eye under the tent at Big Top Treats! For starters, we always enjoyed Goofy Glaciers here, but now it looks like they are introducing a Flavor of the Month!
This month, they are featuring the Raspberry Lemonade Razzle Dazzle. YUM!
We also spotted something we haven’t seen in a long, long, long, long time…
…pre-packaged treats!! These have always been available at the Main Street Confectionary, but they’ve returned to the circus. We spotted an assortment of “grab & go” Caramel Apples, as well as Rice Krispie Treats.
What’s New in Tomorrowland
We quickly noticed a bunch of walls around Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe…
…and the water’s still gone from the moat and river.
Which means that Cosmic Ray’s is still getting its paint job! Don’t worry — you can still dine with Sonny Eclipse as the restaurant is still open as usual.
Also in the vein of construction updates, we have updated photos from the Tron Coaster!!
This new state-of-the-art coaster is set to open in time for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary in 2021.
Meanwhile at The Lunching Pad, a Carved Roast Beef Sandwich has joined the menu.
This new sandwich comes topped with Horseradish, Spring Mix, and Balsamic. The Carved Roast Beef Sandwich replaced the Barbecued Pork Sandwich, but never fear, it’s still available mere footsteps away at Cosmic Ray’s.
We tried the NEW Mickey Milkshake at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies.
What’s New in the Magic Kingdom’s Shops and Stores — New Merchandise!!
There was a LOT of new goodies in the shops around the kingdom. Like this cute Experiment 626 outfit in Adventureland.
Shirt and shorts sold separately.
We also found the cutest way possible to help protect you from germs: these new-to-us Star Wars Hand Sanitziers!
We spotted these in Mickey Star Traders in Tomorrowland and the Emporium on Main Street U.S.A.
And speaking of the Emporium, look at this adorable Simba necklace we found there!
We’re seeing a lot of Lion King merchandise pop up around the World, in anticipation of the live action movie hitting theaters this summer, as well as the 25th anniversary of the animated classic. We saw tons of great Lion King items at Animal Kingdom this week as well.
We also spotted Toy Story Wishables for the first time!
OOOOOOOOOOOH that’s cuteeeeeee!
We LOVED this gold re-useable water bottle sporting the Walt Disney World motto: The Most Magical Place on Earth.
What a cute way to stay hydrated!
And speaking of cute…
how cute is this amazing Road Sign Phone Case?! This one is a must-get for Disney World devotees.
Uptown Jewelers also had a bunch of great finds, including a sale on the Disney Dress Shop Line!
You can use the discount towards this adorable Mickey dress!
Dumbo also soared into Uptown Jewelers, with his NEW Dooney & Bourke Collection!
We also noticed a few pieces from the Haunted Mansion Dooney & Bourke line…run don’t walk if you want one! These tend to disappear faster than the Attic Bride’s husbands!
Also in the Haunted Mansion merchandise category, check out these awesome Hitchhiking Ghost socks we found at Memento Mori.
And finally, the cutest thing we spotted all day: the Dumbo Steiff Plush!
Steiff is a legendary German toy company, that specializes in adorable plush bears. You can find the bears in the Germany Pavilion of Epcot, but we found Dumbo in Big Top Treats!
This collectible item can be yours for $74.99.
That’s a LOT of fun finds at the Kingdom! Tune in next week for our reviews of MORE Magic Kingdom sweet treats as they debut! You can also check out what’s new at Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.
