Ah the time has COME, my friends, for something a little spooky and sweet!
It’s Halloween time in Disney World — at least it is in the Magic Kingdom and parts of Disney Springs ;-D — and we are HERE for it!
It’s always a thrill when the Kingdom transforms for Halloween (it usually happens over a couple of days within the week before the first Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party). Even though it’s mid-August, I’m ready for all the spoopy.
Get ready to sing BOO TO YOU for basically three months!!
AND…the packaged Halloween treats have arrived in the Main Street Confectionary in Magic Kingdom! (We haven’t seen the confectionary case items, yet, but we’re sure they’re not far behind!)
All of these cuties are very similar to the Halloween goodies we’ve seen in previous years — nothing TOO new here, except a few variations on a theme — but I always get a little thrill when I see them arrive for the Halloween season in…um…August. ;-D So let’s take a peek at the options this year!
The Minnie Pumpkin Basket…
… And the Mickey Pumpkin Basket are BACK and filled with gummi candy — including gummi candy corn (which tastes oddly buttery) — again this year.
With these two by each other’s side…
… We think we might just be able to fill those buckets to the brim several times over with candy at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party!
Speaking of candy, this Candy Corn Popcorn is the perfect mix between sweet and savory.
Still craving something chewy after that popcorn? You may want to grab the classic Candy Corn Rice Crispie Treat, the Pumpkin Rice Crispie Treat…
… And the Halloween Mickey Rice Crispie Treat! Again, repeats from previous years (and you’ll see the same ones dressed differently for Christmas in a couple of months), but cute options to take home for gifts or to carry around with you in your park bag for snacks while waiting in line for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train!
The Halloween Hot Chocolate this year is super cute! Mickey’s back in his vampire gear, and this can design is a little spookier than we’ve seen in previous years!
Which of these ghoulish creatures would you want to share a cup of hot cocoa with??
But the basics (including those on our DFB team ;-D) have been searching for that Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL for lyyyyfe). Sooo, we are probably going to have to buy a few bags of these Pumpkin Spice Frosted Pretzels…
… Y’know, for research purposes. (;
Well, well, well, what have we here? That crazy fun Oogie Boogie Sugar Cookie is BACK this year…and he’s brought along his secret again this year!
Crack him open and you’ll find…gummi worms!
And, what’s this? There’s even a Jack Skellington Basket with Sour Jelly Pumpkins!
Doesn’t that seem like a fitting treat for the Pumpkin King himself?
We’re so thankful that it’s the beginning of the fall season because that means Jack is back!!
Sandy Claws would even want to get his hands on the Jack Skellington Tin with Sour Gummi Worms…
… Except you never know if Lock, Shock, and Barrel switched them out for real worms.
Travel by sleigh or walking bathtub over to Disney Springs, because you can get the same treats there at the World of Disney!
Whether you choose something crunchy…
… Chewy…
… Sticky…
… Or sweet ‘n’ salty…
… You can’t go wrong with a Disney Halloween treat!
We’re excited for the Halloween season in Disney World!
