Change is constantly happening around Walt Disney World.
Right now, there’s a huge transition taking place in Epcot. Guardians of the Galaxy and Ratatouille are both getting their own rides. A new space-themed restaurant and a creperie are on their way AND IllumiNations is being replaced by an all-new show. But this just grazes the surface of updates coming to the parks since Disney has announced ANOTHER change.
Baseball Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr. is teaming up with Disney to bring the Ripken Baseball Experience to ESPN Wide World of Sports!
According to Disney, this location will allow baseball players aged 6-18 to “compete in high-level youth baseball tournaments. ”
The week-long experience will include:
- 6 Game Guarantee / 9 Game Maximum
- Opening Ceremonies & Skills Competitions
- PA Announcements & Walk-Up Music
- MLB Tournament Ambassador
- Player & Coach Gifts
- Ripken Experience Rings
Participants will also have free time to hang out in the Disney World theme parks. The new experience is set to open in 2020!
Disney hopes this will add a new level of competition and education to ESPN Wide World of Sports. Those participating in the Ripken Baseball Experience must book their lodging by calling (410) 306-7575. You can learn more about this all-new experience here!
