Halloween Time, you slay us with your delicious treats. We’ve been eating our way through Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure all day (and night) long, and you’ll find a long list of deliciousness in our We’re Live from Halloween Time post — click here to see them ALL!
Over in Disney California Adventure, Clarabelle’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream has a sweet offering… two, in fact… that are sure to bring a smile to your face! The Witch Minnie Ice Cream Bar and Vampire Mickey Ice Cream Bar aren’t particularly spooky, but they are delicious!
They start with an identical base, but it’s all about those Halloween details here!
Both bars start with a bar of vanilla bean ice cream that’s dipped in dark chocolate. Two chocolate discs create those iconic Mouse ears, and orange, black, green, and white sprinkles add a little bit of edible whimsy.
Vampire Mickey comes with shortbread bat wings (of course), but ours didn’t stay on so well. We’re guessing it’s challenging to eat an ice cream bar with giant shortbread cookie attached anyway, so we think Vampire Mickey makes for two simple treats in one! 😉
The shortbread bat wings are definitely shareable, and beware the black icing brushed on top! Your teeth will get the vampire treatment, too! At $6.49, Mickey’s a sizeable snack, particularly if you’re planning to snack around Halloween Time!
Witch Minnie’s decorations include a simple white chocolate hat and bow (dyed purple and orange). She’s a little less pricey without the giant bonus cookie ($5.69), but Witch Minnie is still a satisfying treat.
And note: these are some serious ice cream bars — almost an inch thick vanilla bean ice cream and plenty of crisp chocolate to finish ’em off. Which is just what you’ll find yourself doing: finishing them off!
With so many creative treat options at Disneyland Resort’s Halloween Time, it might be tempting to pass by the simpler offerings. But Witch Minnie cast a spell on us, and Vampire Mickey sucked us right in. You might want to take a bite out of them, too!
