Welcome back to another roundup of What’s New at Disney World’s Resorts!
Today, we’re exploring everything new (including a bunch of merch!) at Old Key West Resort, Caribbean Beach Resort, and Wilderness Lodge.
Let’s get started!
Old Key West Resort Food Update
We’ll kick things off at Disney’s Old Key West Resort, where we noticed a few changes to the drinks menu at The Gurgling Suitcase. Blue Hawaii, Goombay Smash, and Electric Lemonade are no longer on the menu, but Papa’s Den and Slappy Joe’s Bourbon Berry Lemonade have been added!
Another new drink called Unlimited Power was featured on a placard during our visit.
The Unlimited Power drink consists of tequila, blackberry brandy, sour mix, and agave with a glow cube for $13.50. We loved this cocktail! We thought it was the perfect blend of sweet and sour flavors. The tequila was refreshing and the blackberry came through well. Honestly, we wouldn’t mind drinking this all day long by the pool!
The Papa’s Den cocktail features Jack Daniel’s, peach schnapps, cherry brandy, orange juice, pineapple juice, and grenadine for $11.50. We couldn’t taste the Jack Daniel’s in this drink, but it was still sweet and delicious. The cherry brandy came through strongly and it was a fun, tropical drink!
Slappy Joe’s Bourbon Berry Lemonade combines Woodford Reserve Bourbon, blackberry brandy, and Odwalla Lemonade, with a splash of seltzer water for $12.50. This drink was very refreshing but strong! It wasn’t too strong, but we definitely felt like we got our money’s worth. It wasn’t super tart and we could taste a hint of the blackberry brandy. We’d definitely get it again!
Old Key West Resort Construction Update
Old Key West’s main parking lot is finished and there is so much more room! Now, there are 10 spaces for 30-minute parking for check-in and there’s plenty of parking for other guests as well.
Old Key West Resort Merchandise Update
In Conch Flats General Store, we spotted a new line of Disney Vacation Club merchandise! We found a luggage tag ($9.99)…
…window cling sticker ($7.99)…
…an adorable Mickey ornament ($21.99)…
…and a Mickey coffee mug ($16.99)!
If you’re looking to add another Loungefly backpack to your collection (who isn’t??), you can grab this Disney Vacation Club Loungefly backpack for $65.99.
We also noticed a red, white, and blue shirt ($34.99)…
…a gray spirit jersey ($54.99)…
…and a pink spirit jersey ($54.99)!
Perhaps our favorite thing we found was this Disney Vacation Club suitcase for $159. Mickey is featured on one side…
…while the other side is white and displays icons representing the various DVC properties!
Are you a proud member of DVC? If so, you can pick up this car magnet for $12.99.
You can even add a sticker for the year you joined DVC! How long have you been a member?
Caribbean Beach Resort Food Update
Let’s head on over to Caribbean Beach Resort! In Centertown Market, we spotted a new Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake in the grab-and-go section.
You can try it for $5.49 or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit!
Caribbean Beach Resort Construction Update
Outside, we saw that the kid’s aquatic play area is currently under refurbishment. We’re not sure how long this refurbishment we’ll last, but we’ll let you know if we learn more!
Caribbean Beach Resort Merchandise Update
In Calypso Trading Post, we spotted some Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge merchandise. We’ve seen this merchandise in various locations around Disney World, but we still wanted to snap a few photos for you!
Wilderness Lodge Food Update
For our final stop on our resorts walk, let’s head to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge! In Roaring Fork, we noticed a new Caramel Cupcake in the bakery case. The popular Campfire Cupcake is, thankfully, still available.
We think Roaring Fork will welcome a fall or Halloween-themed cupcake soon, so we’ll keep an eye out!
Geyser Point To Go has its frozen machine back up and running, so that means Raspberry Dole Whips — sort of!
Cast Members told us they’re hoping to get an ice cream machine but until then, Raspberry Dole Whip mix is in their frozen drinks machine.
The sweet treat — which Geyser Point calls Northwest Berry Whip — tasted the same as the Raspberry Dole Whip we know and love but with a different texture. We only had the option to get it in a cup, but it was delicious!
Wilderness Lodge Construction Update
Outside, we noticed a bit of parking lot construction.
When we were there, the newly repaved areas had temporary handicap spots situated between cones.
Wilderness Lodge Merchandise Update
In the Wilderness Lodge Mercantile, we found all the Disney Vacation Club merchandise we found at Old Key West (aside from the suitcase) and some additional items!
We found a super cute ruffled shirt ($29.99)…
…a “Stay Magical” shirt ($29.99)…
…a “Follow Me to Adventure” shirt ($29.99)…
…and a DVC member t-shirt ($24.99)!
Can you spot the icon for your home resort??
We’re loving this “Good Times Great Place” sweatshirt for $59.99. It just looks so cozy!
We also spotted a men’s DVC shirt for $59.99…
…and a men’s hoodie for $64.99!
While we were there, we couldn’t resist snapping a few photos of the store’s Halloween and Galaxy’s Edge merchandise!
