RED ALERT! A favorite boozy milkshake of ours has vanished from the face of the EARTH!!
Trilo Bites
We learned of its disappearance when we visited Trilo-Bites in Disney’s Animal Kingdom today and didn’t see it on their menu. While it might be too soon to tell if the Smokey Bones Milkshake has gone extinct, the new shake we found on Trilo-Bite’s menu isn’t really doing it for us!
Here’s what the Smokey Bones Milkshake looked like (and yes, that’s bacon sticking out of it!)

There was little not to like about this deliciously rich chocolate milkshake (which was spiked with bourbon!) and smothered in whip cream and topped with a strip of candied bacon. But then Disney decided to shake things up by taking away our beloved Smokey Bones and giving us this… an Oreo Milkshake.

Not to pile on the new guy, but this cookies and cream milkshake is really no substitute for the glory that was Smokey Bones!

It’s just so… meh. No booze, no bacon, no bueno! Sorry Oreo Milkshake, we miss the good thing we had going on with ol’ Smokey!

Dammit and bugger. I was going to try Smokey Bones next month on my trip 😢
I’m not surprised they got rid of it. Who in their right mind has chocolate milkshake with bacon in it!!
I’m super bummed! Especially since the Backstage Pass at All Star (basically the same shake) also seems to have vanished. It was so good!
