Ah, Club Cool… How we miss being able to serve ourselves endless amounts of your delicious sodas from around the world in tiny paper cups!
Okay, okay, we use the term “delicious” loosely here, because not every offering made our tastebuds sing with delight — remember Beverly? But if you were a fan of the orange-flavored Coca-Cola drink called Mezzo Mix, guess what? It’s reappeared at a new place in Epcot!
We’re bummed about having to wait for Club Cool to reopen in a new capacity at a future merchandise location. But, luckily on our walk around the World Showcase today we spotted our old friend, Mezzo Mix!
You may remember that Mezzo Mix hails from Germany — so it’s no wonder that that’s where we found it today! And better yet — it’s now being served frozen! A non-alcoholic version will set you back $4.75, while a Mezzo Mix spiked with bourbon will cost ya $14!
The beer cart in the German pavilion has the new set-up for this tasty Mezzo Mix concoction which is served from a slushy machine manned by a friendly lederhosen-clad Cast Member!
And we gotta tell ya… it is sooooooo delicious!! Very light orange flavor, and super refreshing! That bourbon adds just a hint of honey and the drink finishes on a sweet note after the heat from the bourbon cools off!
This drink reminded us a little bit of the Coca-Cola Orange Vanilla with St. Petersburg Gin we tried last week when Cool Wash, the newest Food and Wine booth at this year’s festival opened!
Find out more about Cool Wash here!
Will we see the return of any other Club Cool drinks throughout the World Showcase? Only time will tell!
