It’s no secret that Disney World knows how to make a good looking cupcake. And since Christmas is coming and it’s Friday and you don’t really want to work anyway…we thought you’d enjoy being brought up to date on a few of our favorites. 😉 You’re welcome.
While we wish these cupcakes could last forever, many of these are seasonal offerings, so be sure to check menus ahead of your visit! If these aren’t here on your visit, we’re sure there are some great ones in the bakery cases for ya!
Hopefully, these pictures don’t make your stomach rumble so badly that your colleagues feel compelled to peek over your cube. GO BACK TO WORK, KAREN. THIS DOESN’T CONCERN YOU.
Cinnamon Roll Cupcake
This first cupcake shocked us by rocketing into our top-five Disney World cupcakes of ALL TIME! The Cinnamon Roll Cupcake is the new treat-inspired treat in Disney World. It even has an ACTUAL half of a cinnamon roll garnish!
This confection was originally found at Roaring Fork at Wilderness Lodge and is a genius creation with cinnamon vanilla cake packed with pecan filling and topped with maple buttercream. This treat tastes just like the iconic Disney cinnamon rolls! Yaaaas!
This is a super fun cupcake with some of our favorite flavors that don’t show up all that often in Disney cupackes.
Speaking of super stylish cupcakes, we have a classic fave from Contempo Cafe, the Monorail Cupcake! The decorations on this cupcake go above and beyond (just like the real monorail!) and we ADORE the little white chocolate monorail garnish.
This is a vanilla cupcake topped with a LOAD of cookies and cream icing. How can we say no to that? Add in that there’s a cookies and cream panna cotta / pudding type filling stuffed in the middle of the cake as well and we’re hooked! As for decoration, it’s got that monorail, chocolate shell, candy pearls, and an Oreo. We can’t stop thinking about it!
This little guy definitely takes the cake for good decoration! Get it?
Hot Chocolate Cupcake
Doesn’t this cupcake make you wanna cozy up by a fire? We can totally see ourselves sipping on a steamy mug of hot cocoa to match this one-of-a-kind dessert. The frosting is rich and chocolate-y (not to mention there’s a LOT of it!) and it’s covered in candy cane sprinkles and mini marshmallows!!
This tasty treat is a delight for the chilly season. Any chocoholics in your group will surely enjoy this chocolate lovers cupcake as much as we did!
Prep and Landing Cupcake
This cupcake was a hit with our team this year! The main flavor under that chocolate Lanny and Wayne (of Prep and Landing fame) is gingerbread!! The cake is a spiced gingerbread cake with a gingerbread filling and it’s topped with a light cream cheese icing, holiday sprinkles, and of course, that white chocolate Lanny and Wayne!
Landing gears up, cupcake-lovers! It’s time to chow down!
Frozen Fractals Cupcake
A ton of fun treats have skated into Disney World in celebration of Frozen 2 and the trend continues at the All-Star Sports Resort, where we found this Elsa-inspired Frozen Fractals Cupcake at End Zone Food Court!
There’s definitely no shortage of sweet treats this time of year, and we’re happy to see so many delicious options outside of the parks! The color of this cupcake is super eye-catching and vibrant, and even the sprinkles add to the icy theme of this funfetti cake treat topped with blue buttercream, sprinkles and edible glitter.
If you find yourself at All-Star Sports this month, make sure to check out this cupcake! You don’t want to miss out on that pretty white chocolate piece featuring Elsa and the Nokk. Plus — funfetti! Is there a more fun type of cake out there?!
Little Mermaid Cupcake
Disney World has released a couple fun cupcakes to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of The Little Mermaid. You can grab this SUPER instagrammable Little Mermaid Cupcake at Good’s Food to Go at Old Key West Resort!
This treat gives us major mermaid vibes with the under sea white chocolate decorations. Blueberry icing sits on top of yellow cake to make a sweet treat that is absolutely the bubbles!! The best part — it was LOADED with tart lemon curd (and even a few fresh blueberries) inside!
This thing is massive! So, if you want to tackle this undersea treat, grab a dinglehopper and dive in!
Want even more Little Mermaid inspired treats? Next we’re hopping over to Intermission Food Court at All-Star Music Resort. Here you can snack on the Ursula Cupcake, complete with its own set of fondant tentacles!
Seriously, how cute is this cupcake?! This treat looks just like our favorite Sea Witch with oodles of purple buttercream topped with a grey dollop of icing representing her signature ‘do, and a white chocolate yellow shell — her necklace with Ariel’s voice! The Ursula Cupcake is another simple one flavors-wise, with classic chocolate cake and vanilla buttercream.
Be sure to head over to Intermission Food Court at All-Star Music and try it for yourself!
Sorcerer Mickey Cupcake
We spotted this mousse-y mouse Sorcerer Mickey Cupcake recently when this adorable snack found its way to World Premiere Food Court in All-Star Movies Resort. This treat is super unique with a chocolate mousse dome instead of frosting (well, there’s still some frosting there too!). 😉
Plus, it’s got such iconic inspiration! How could we possibly say no to a cupcake inspired by The Sorcerer’s Apprentice from Fantasia?!
This little guy is just another example of a fun character-based cupcake! We hope it sticks around for a little while.
Salted Caramel Cupcake
This spot is a slam-dunk for all your ooey gooey caramel needs and this cupcake is no exception! This guy is simple, yet gorgeous AND delicious. Imagine a perfectly rich dark chocolate cake! Top it off with a sweet swirl of THICC salted caramel buttercream icing and a drizzle of even MORE caramel and we’re in business! If simple isn’t your style, they also have a Pumpkin Caramel Cupcake. Yummm.
This cupcake really knocked our socks off. It was the perfect bite!
Dulce de Leche Cupcake
Last but certainly not least, this next one takes the prize for the most drop-dead GORGEOUS cupcake we’ve seen in a while. The Dulce de Leche Cupcake, found at the Contempo Cafe at the Contemporary Resort, is truly a sight to behold.
This one was a big hit for our team. It was as delicious to eat as it was pretty to look at — complete with salted caramel buttercream and a salted caramel truffle chocolate piece to match (the truffle just by itself is gorgeous, let’s be honest)!
Contempo Cafe is another location known for rotating their cupcakes and desserts regularly, but that should mean that even if this beauty isn’t available, there should be another tasty treat that is!
We’re always on the lookout for new and exciting cupcakes at Disney World, so you can be sure we’ll have a whole new crop of favorites in no time to share!
