Review! This SubLIME Dessert is Making Waves in Disney World!

Hi, DFB friends! While chillin’ in the beautiful Disney’s Old Key West Resort we spotted a new-to-us dessert in Good’s Food to Go that caught our attention!

The Key Lime Tart looked too good for us to pass up, so we decided to review it just for you! Join us as we dive right in…

The Key Lime Tart consists of a graham cracker crust drenched in a honey-molasses sauce, key lime custard filling, graham cracker crust pieces, whipped baker’s cream, and decorative white chocolate pieces.

The decorative garnish reminded us of a deconstructed key lime pie, which we thought was so cool! It is packaged in a portable plastic container with a lid. This dessert makes a great “to go” treat!

However, it’s time to find out if this dessert is worth traveling to Mile Marker 0 for. Let’s give it a try!

We are happy to report that this dessert is definitely making WAVES at Disney’s Old Key West Resort! It was absolutely delicious.

The key lime custard was creamy, smooth and had just the right amount of lip-puckering key lime flavor and tartness. The graham cracker crust drenched in the honey-molasses sauce was perfect for our reviewers! We loved that the crust was still dense, although the sauce had soaked into it.

This is the only thing that might give you pause as a Key Lime Pie fan — that “wet crust” situation might not be for everyone! But it does give a little extra sweetness to this otherwise tart dessert.

The garnish was pretty and fun, and it didn’t take away from the flavor of the key lime custard. We loved the whipped baker’s cream which made the custard slightly creamier and sweeter, and we really wish there had been more. The white chocolate pieces added a little extra sweetness.
