It was a big week for those planning a Walt Disney World vacation!
The recent price increases may have thrown a curve ball at your upcoming trip, but amongst the madness a new ticket add-on option was added!
The new Water Park and Sports Option can be added to the existing One Park Per Day option, the most basic ticket available.
With this new option, you’ll have access to one theme park of your choice AND you can visit one water park, golf course, OR a sports facility per day of your ticket. This includes Blizzard Beach Water Park, Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, NBA Experience, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course, Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course, and the Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course.
Is It Worth Getting?
I’m sure you’re thinking, “Is it worth it to buy this option?”
So…maybe. The Water Park and Sports option is a flat rate of $70.00, no matter how many days you purchase on your ticket. That means that for $70.00, you’ll get one visit to a water park, golf course, or sports facility with a one-day ticket, but you’ll get, for example, five visits with a five-day ticket…and it’s the same price.
A visit to a water park costs around $69.00 and the other options’ entry fees are considerably cheaper, so you wouldn’t come out ahead if you’re buying a one-day ticket. But as soon as you go above one day, you could see some savings depending on what options you choose.
