Right at the end of 2019, it was announced that an all-new M&M’s store would be coming to Disney Springs!
A peek at the concept for the new retail location only got us more excited. That is until construction was put on halt due to the global health crisis. We were interested in the state of our newest chocolatey access point. Today, though, a few of our questions have been answered! We found out that the Disney Springs M&M’s store is still on schedule for a 2020 opening!
According to the Orlando Sentinel, head of global retail at Mars Retail Group Patrick McIntyre stated that despite the global health crisis, the new store remains on schedule for an opening sometime this year.
The new store is set to replace the current M&M’s store in the Florida Mall. The current store reopened from its closure on May 15th with new health measures such as signage to promote physical distancing, hand sanitizing stations, and reduced guest capacity restriction.
The Disney Springs locations have plans for a fun retail environment with more than 100 tubes of M&M’s, personalized candy, and appearances from M&M’s characters. We’ll be keeping an eye on developments at this project and will be sure to report in when we have an opening date!
