Disney Springs has been slowly coming to life over the past few weeks — and the reopening just got a whole lot better.
Recently we shared information regarding the reopening of Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ Kitchen and now it’s finally here! Between take-home moonshine and the new Shine Bar & Social patio, there’s a lot for us to take in. So, let’s check out the REOPENING of Homecomin’ in Disney Springs!
Homecomin’ is THE place to be if you’re looking for a delicious bite of Southern cuisine or a tasty sip of specialty moonshine.
And we weren’t the only ones who made their way to the restaurant today. Homecomin’ had itself a pretty big crowd of folks coming to get their hands on some tasty eats!
Even Chef Art Smith himself was there! In Chef Art’s words, “A day without fried chicken and mac and cheese is sad.” You got that right!
…and all the moonshine that your heart desires!
The restaurant has got its fair share of health measures in action. Of course, employees were wearing masks but we also spotted spaced out tables, some physical distancing stickers, and heightened cleaning measures.
One super cute detail was their new Fabulous Farmers wall to celebrate the Florida farmers who stepped up to help out during the global health crisis.
You can read all about the featured farmers on the accompanying plaque. The statement says, “When Florida shutdown…the state’s farmers — already losing harvests once bound for hotels, cruise ships, and more — stepped up. Because that is what they always do.” What an awesome tribute!
The only bummer of the day is that the new Shine Bar and Social patio isn’t TOTALLY open. The hosts were seating guests on the new patio, but it looks like they’re still working on getting the Shine bar itself up and running.
We feel MUCH better now that we have the opportunity to eat some hushpuppies and sip on some ‘shine. Keep an eye on DFB so you don’t miss any more BIG updates in Disney Springs!
Have a hankerin’ for some fried chicken? Heading to Homecomin’? Tell us in the comments!
