More and more dining locations are reopening at Disney World. Last week The Edison, Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante, and Enzo’s Hideaway reopened while Jaleo by Chef José Andrés is getting ready to welcome back guests today!
In a reopened Disney World, reservations are more important than ever and we’d started to feel like walk-up dining was a thing of the past. That is, until yesterday when we saw the brand-new Mobile Dine Walk-up Waitlist feature added to the My Disney Experience app. Here’s the thing, though — this new feature has gone MISSING!
Shortly after the launch of the feature yesterday morning, we noticed that it disappeared. Initially, we were able to access the new walk-up feature for four Disney World table-service locations via the “Check Dining Availability” option in the main menu.
When the feature launched, there was an additional “Now” button added to the “Search by Time” function. Typically, selecting one of the other options on the list lets you search available dining reservations, but the “Now” option presented the restaurants that were available for walk-up dining — no res needed!
Like we mentioned, the “Now” button didn’t last long. Just a few hours after the feature first launched, the button disappeared, and with it the new Walk-up Waitlist altogether. Today, the Walk-up feature is STILL missing in the app. You can see there’s no “Now” option in the below screenshot.
It appears Disney World is still working out the kinks of its new Mobile Dine Walk-up Waitlist, and they’ve deactivated it for the time being. We’re excited to give this new feature a shot when it launches for good and we’ll keep an eye on Disney World’s My Disney Experience app to let you know when it’s up and runnin’ again!
