While strolling through the Disney World parks, guests will periodically hear overhead announcements reminding them about the face mask policy.
While the announcements have been happening since the parks reopened, we have noticed a few tweaks to the specific messages to add additional clarification regarding the face mask policy. And today, we heard ANOTHER new version of the face mask overhead announcement!
We were making our way through Animal Kingdom today when the familiar overhead announcement routine began. But this time, we noticed something extra included in the message!
At the beginning of the overhead message, guests are reminded that face coverings must fully cover your nose and mouth, and be worn at all times except while actively eating or drinking while stationary. This is the first time we’ve heard the reminder that face coverings must fully cover the nose and mouth as part of the overhead announcement since previous versions began by stating that they must be worn at all times.

Last weekend we heard nose, mouth and chin at a few different rides. One was Test Track.
Jack says
The magic is gone 😔
JOHN VIVERITO says
How about a N95 mask with a cooling vent. Such as 3M #8511?
Steven S. in NJ says
Glad to hear they are “reminding” what is the obvious! I stopped going to my reopened gym at home because the college kids were wearing their masks under their chins. No wonder college campuses are turning into super spreader virus factories!
Karla says
Sounds like Big Brother. I’m not going anymore.
DFB Sarah says
John, Disney is holding to their face coverings rules, so I’d suggest bringing a backup in case this one is rejected.
Marcos Valenca says
Of course Disney would go with what scientists, doctors and nurses say. Wear masks right now is obvious. Disney didn’t become the greatest entertainment company on the planet acting in denial, irresponsably or in a dumb way. Disney keeps the magic and all of us safe not only with masks, but also not allowing fire arms in the whole complex.

Disney is making masks so bad that people do not want to go they hound you all the time you are there . i find that there is no magic in this . this is way over the top . you can not even walk around epcot and eat and drink . you can go in a rest area and take off you mask the virus will get you there ha ha .
ricky says
coasts a lot of money and no magic with masks
Denise says
I will never go to Disney again because of this. Magic is completely gone!
Tak says
We there last week in the parks and resorts. Magic is gone.
Marcos Valenca says
Great that Disney is enforcing the use of masks, alcool, sanitizing the parks and resorts. All responsible companies are doing this. Smart people walk side by side with science. It’s even funny to see some Americans criticizing protection methods when America is the country with most deaths by Covid-19 on the planet. By the way, if you feel the Disney magic is gone because of a simple mask, you aren’t a real Disney fan. The Force is weak in you.
Dennis Schalm says
All those who say the magic is gone. Well the magic can’t come back, as long as people aren’t willing to do what they need to, to reduce the viruses reach.
As far as “never going back”? That’s just silly. Disney parks didn’t start the virus and are doing everything they can to stay open.
