Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at EPCOT!
And, we’ve got plenty of construction, food, and merchandise updates, so let’s dive right on in!
EPCOT Entertainment Update
The Chase Visa Photo Spot
While many experiences have been modified or unavailable around the parks, the Photo Spot for Disney chase Visa Cardholders is still open! Characters might not be available for photos inside at the moment. However, there are some BOMB walls that you can pose from (and for FREE, if you’re a cardholder)!
While you can blast off like you would on Mission: SPACE…
…you can also take a trip on the Monorail with your best pals for an Instagrammable snap!
Although we love seeing spots like The Land pavilion glistening in the Florida sun…
…there’s just something so timeless about Spaceship Earth!
You can pose in front of a few colorful prisms that have a 3D effect like the actual Spaceship Earth…
…or have a simple background for a super cute photo you can use as your profile picture. Instead of doing a wall crawl around the parks, you can do a full photo shoot in the Photo Spot! ;D
EPCOT Construction Update
The EPCOT Transformation is still moving forward, despite the previous closures and construction halts in Disney World. And, while Disney has prioritized a few of its projects and quietly moved forward with new ones, we’re keeping an eye on the construction happening in EPCOT right now!
Previously, spots like the Electric Umbrella and Fountain View Cafe closed down to make room for a redesigned entrance of the parks. Even though not every project has seen much progress…
…other attractions like the Guardians of the Galaxy coaster are pushing forward for their hopeful 2021 debut.
Since Mouse Gear is getting a new look right now, the old location is closed off while construction continues on the shop (but there’s a cute li’l playground right outside)…
…but we can’t wait to see the new store that Disney brings to life as part of the EPCOT Transformation!
You might have forgotten that these 4 projects are still moving forward in Disney World!
EPCOT Merchandise Update
Mouse Gear
In the meantime, though, you can hop over to the temporary Mouse Gear location to look at apparel, accessories, toys, and other souvenirs for the whole family!
While we were looking around the store, we spotted the Emerald Minnie Ears as well as the GORGEOUS new Midnight Magic Minnie Ears!
We’re still not over all that glitter on the witchy ears that look like they’re channeling some major black magic for $29.99.
Although we’re giving you a look at a brand NEW booth that has popped up in the park (stay tuned later on in this What’s New), you can also fashion the adorable Food and Wine Festival Figment Annual Passholder Magnet on your fridge for $14.99!
Whenever you decide to try your own hand at baking at home after you head to the Food and Wine Festival, you can add a bit of Disney magic to your goodies with the Disney Parks Cookie Cutters for $24.99!
The 6-pack of cookie cutters features an icon from each of the Disney Parks in the United States, like the Tree of Life and Sleeping Beauty Castle! Umm, our cookies are going to be the cutest treats EVER using these (and we can’t wait)!
Whenever you’re serving up your freshly baked goods to your friends or family members, you can also sip out of the adorable Mickey and Friends Glasses from MouseWares!
The Fab Five are out to party with adorable caricatures with a multitude of colors on the bottom of the glasses for $49.99.
If you’re been itching to get your hands on the adorable Halloween Tote Bag, now you can get the spookiest bag of the season for $12 with any purchase! Previously, the bag was $19.99 with purchases (and we’re always game for a great discount in Disney World).
EPCOT Food Update
Gourmet Popcorn Cart
The Gourmet Popcorn Cart only just re-opened recently in Future World so you can stop by to get some of that savory Disney popcorn or a Mickey Bar before hopping on Test Track.
While the Halloween Popcorn Buckets were already at the kiosk, now you can also snag the Green Cauldron Popcorn Bucket for $17 too!
Flavors from Fire Booth
Although some things right now might feel like you’re going “out of frying pan and into the fire,” we’ve got some GREAT news about the Food and Wine Festival. Flavors from Fire is back again this year with treats cooked, baked, and served for guests to enjoy!
And, we had to get EVERY food item off the menu to share with you guys! (Don’t they all just look sooo good??)
The names are a little different this year, since the booth is sponsored by the NFL on ESPN now! You can try The Corned Beef Corner Route with lots of melty beer-cheese fondue…
…tender skirt steak on the Chimichurri-Up Offense…
…and the S’mores Whoopie Pie-lon‘s toasted and gooey marshmallow.
Although the Flavors from Fire has plenty of other sips at the kiosk, we paired our feast with the Swine Brine with Jim Beam Bourbon.
Yep — that’s a whole piggie wing in there!
Read our full review of ALL the items we tried at the Flavors from Fire booth here!
Well, that’s all for this What’s New at EPCOT! We’ll catch you next time for more merchandise, food, construction, and entertainment updates! And, if you have any other questions about Disney World’s re-opening, pop us a question and we’ll find the answers for you.

What are you looking forward to seeing the most in EPCOT? Let us know in the comments below!
Rebecca says
AJ mentioned that some of the booths aren’t open for food and wine during the week.
I’m planning a trip in November, help! I may need to move my Epcot days if they’re not open during the week that is going to cause me to need to move everything around.
DFB Sarah says
Rebecca, the three booths we’re seeing open only on weekends are Spain, The Alps, and Islands of the Caribbean.
Jay Williams says
In the Wall Tour section, the wall about “Space Mountain” is incorrect. It’s the exterior of The Land pavilion. Makes sense since the exhibit is based on Epcot.
Joan Sellazzo says
Where in Epcot is the Chase Visa photo spot
DFB Sarah says
Thanks, Jay!
DFB Sarah says
Joan, it’s adjacent to the Imagination! pavilion.
