There’s just something about having an authentic Irish meal and drinking authentic Irish beverages in a pub at Disney World.
And we can do both at Raglan Road at Disney Springs, but after its reopening, we noticed were some pretty major changes to the restaurant’s online menu.
And we just noticed even more changes to the online menu. Let’s start with brunch, which combines TWO MEALS IN ONE (breakfast+lunch is always a win). The weekend brunch starters menu mostly remains the same, including the Nom Nom Wings.
But one NEW item has been added to the Brunch Starters. The Boxty Baa Baa for $16 is an Irish potato boxty with braised lamb shoulder and a smoked eggplant puree with a herb crumb. That sounds YUM.
However, the brunch sides had one change that has us perplexed: you can no longer get a side of Irish or American bacon! NO BACON? Instead, the restaurant has added Garlic Parmesan Chips for $8. It’s not that we don’t like chips, but they’re hardly a substitute for bacon.
The other changes are on the drinks menu. The Mixed Berry Margarita is gone, but two new drinks have replaced it. The Bailey’s Salted Caramel Irish Coffee for $13.50 is Baileys Salted Caramel, fresh Ristretto topped with cream and caramel. That sounds DELISH. It also seems like this has replaced the regular Irish coffee.
There’s also the seasonal Samhain Sangria, which is Jameson Black barrel, Wither Hills sauvignon blanc, apple cider, seltzer, house-made cinnamon syrup, fresh cranberries, apple, and orange. And it, too, sounds pretty amazing. This seems like an upgrade to Raglan Road’s previous seasonal Druids Samhain Potion.
A glass of Samhain Sangria is $14.50. All in all, these aren’t major changes, and we can’t wait to try out some of the new dishes! When we do, we’ll let you know what we think of them!
