We enjoyed a lovely meal earlier this summer at the signature California Grill in Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
California Grill
From cocktails to bread service to Beer and Cheese Soup and MUCH more, our meal was filled with highlights. That said, we couldn’t help but notice that one of our favorite items was not on the menu during our most recent visit: the Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli.
Since we missed its presence, we checked with the chef and were assured that it would return to the menu eventually. And now, my friends, that day is here!
Thanks to one of our terrific DFB readers (who gave us a heads up), we did some digging and found that the Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli is listed once more on Disney World’s online menu for California Grill!
Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli at California Grill
Pictured above, you see the dish as we last enjoyed it. The bright red broth of this well-loved appetizer is a clarified combination of tomato and fennel. Topping the large ravioli are crispy mushrooms, micro-basil, and crumbled goat cheese. Floating around the dish is Arbequina Organic Olive Oil. Just wanted to let you know that the goat cheese ravioli is different than it used to be. It’s still delicious but does not have the tomato broth over it. Our server informed us that it had changed when we ordered it last week. But I would still get it every time because it’s so so good!
Ate at the California Grill last week, I was very disappointed with the meal. One person in a party was sick that night from her meal. Would not recommend going there at this time
