This major Disney announcement ought to spice up your day, so get ready! In case you haven’t heard, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is about to change in a BIG way — a brand-new land is coming soon.

Disney just shared some major announcements about Pueblo Esperanza, the new Tropical Americas-themed land coming to the park. If you’ve really been looking forward to the new rides in the land, this is one announcement you can’t miss.
It’s finally happening! We have NEW details to share about Pueblo Esperanza — specifically the new carousel coming to the land. We now know the carrousel will be called El Carrusel de los Animalitos and will feature 22 unique animals!

Earlier this weekend at the Imagineering: Horizons pavilion, we got a look at some of these animals, which include Pua from Moana, Nigel from Finding Nemo, Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh, and an adorable rabbit.

We first learned about this new land at the 2023 D23 Expo, where Disney announced a new area inspired by the Tropical Americas would come to life in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Keeping with Disney’s trend of adding character-based I.P. to its parks and resorts, Pueblo Esperanza will feature the stories of Encanto and Indiana Jones.

There will be three attractions in Pueblo Esperanza: two signature attractions inspired by Encanto and Indiana Jones, and a new carousel attraction for visitors of all ages.

This new addition will be filled with Spanish-style architecture and nods to Encanto, and Disney has just released TONS of new information about the land, including the names of the other two attractions, during the Disney Experiences Showcase at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.
