One of Disney World’s most iconic attractions has been closed for quite some time now.
The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover has been closed since the Disney parks closed last March. That’s almost TEN MONTHS with NO PeopleMover. The ride was scheduled to reopen on January 10th, but the closure has been extended AGAIN.
Today, the refurbishment calendar on the Disney website was updated to extend the PeopleMover refurbishment through Saturday, January 30th.
The attraction is NOT listed as “Closed for Refurbishment” starting Sunday, January 31st. It is important to note we’ve seen SEVERAL extensions to the closure, so this is not a guarantee that we’ll be cruising through Tomorrowland again come January 31st.
We have our fingers crossed that this attraction DOES actually open at the end of the month! You can bet we’ll be keeping a close eye on any news about the PeopleMover, so stay tuned!
