Jambo, from a (still festive) Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
We popped into one of our favorite theme parks to see what’s new! Check out the merchandise sales, new souvenirs, and holiday updates!
Animal Kingdom Food Update
It’s the middle of January and Christmas decorations are still everywhere at Animal Kingdom and other theme parks. We saw all sorts of garlands, ornaments, and more!
Head to Animal Kingdom if you need some Christmas cheer!
Animal Kingdom Attraction Update
Maharajah Jungle Trek
A couple of updates from the animal exhibit! The first is that Disney is offering exhibit maps via a QR code available on the signs throughout your “trek.” Simply scan the code by using your phone camera and you’ll be directed to the website. Easy peezy!
The second is that we witnessed a very interesting ritual in the African Bird exhibit. It seems one particular male Argus Pheasant attempted to impress a female pheasant. We think he should watch the movie “He’s Just Not That Into You” because that’s basically what was happening here.

Animal Kingdom Atmosphere Update
Crowds and Weather
It’s been a chilly week in Florida! We spotted a lot of guests heading into the gift shops and loading up on warm clothing. Some quick-service locations were offering hot cocoa too! We spotted the cocoa at places like Tamu Tamu Refreshments and Harambe Fruit Market.
The cold seemed to bother everyone anyway because the wait times were a little lower. We noticed Kilimanjaro Safaris had a 25-minute wait, Flight of Passage get down to 40 minutes, and Expedition Everest dip to 20 minutes!
Honestly, a cup of cocoa followed by a safari ride doesn’t sound too bad!
Animal Kingdom Merchandise Update
The gift shop in Pandora – World of Avatar is having a sale on t-shirts right now! Each shirt is $22 when you buy two!
The t-shirts are in adult sizes and there are three designs to choose from.
Chester and Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures
We’re loving the new 2021 pressed penny options! You can find a few of the newly dated designs featuring the Tree of Life and the Dinosaur attraction!
That’s all from the Animal Kingdom today! We’ll be back soon with more wild updates in the future!
