Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at EPCOT!
And, we’ve got plenty of updates to share with you! So, what are you waiting for? Let’s dive right on in!
EPCOT Merchandise Update
We’re getting SO CLOSE to the debut of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, everyone! There is no official opening date yet, but we must be just around the corner from the attraction’s grand opening since we spotted a whole bunch of brand new Ratatouille merchandise in EPCOT!
But, there was also brand new items on the shelves that made us want to scurry over to the check-out line. We spotted the Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure Wristlet for $24.99…
…Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure Talking Remy Plush for $29.99…
…Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure T-shirt for $39.99…
…and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure Kid’s Hoodie for $39.99.
It even lets your little ones look as adorable as Remy with a rat-themed design on the hood.
There was also a Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure Little Chef Playset for $39.99 that included an apron, chef’s hat, oven mitt, cutting board, plastic knife, plastic spoon, plastic food items, and a plush Remy, so you can make your very own award-winning “meal.”
You can find all these AWESOME Ratatouille items in the Souvenirs de France as we keep an eye out for more details about the grand opening of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure soon!
EPCOT Entertainment Update
Since the EPCOT Festival of the Arts continues to introduce new entertainment and artwork, we are on the lookout for the amazing masterpieces created around the park throughout the festival! During our latest visit, we noticed that a chalk artist had begun to outline a perspective Bayou scene from The Princess and the Frog…
…that will replace the previous perspective Mad Tea Party scene from Alice in Wonderland!
We are already SUPER excited to see the final product!
We’ve had a bit of a wild ride on the Gran Fiesta Tour recently in the Mexico Pavilion as characters have disappeared (or taken plenty of siestas). Last year, Jose took a quick break from the band, only to return soon afterwards. But, this year, Donald has been missing for quite some time as a plant replaced him, a sombrero was added to the decoration, and then any sign of Donald was gone altogether.
But, it looks like the two remaining Caballeros decided that they needed some time off too, since all THREE animatronics have now been replaced by cardboard cut-outs.
Will our beloved animatronics return soon? Or, are they too busy partying backstage in the meantime? We’re not sure what’s up with the Gran Fiesta Tour right now, but we’ll keep you updated on the Three Caballeros!
After we picked up our very own Remy Plush, we decided to take him on a tour of the World Showcase ahead of his famous ride opening in EPCOT. Remy said he especially enjoyed eating all the food at the Festival of the Arts…
…posing in different spots around the park (he was very happy it was the Year of the Rat in the China Pavilion)…
…and visiting The American Adventure before it debuts its new “The Soul of Jazz” exhibit next month!

EPCOT Construction Update
Guardians of the Galaxy
EPCOT is about to look like an entirely new park after all the construction is complete. And, we’ve been checking back with everything happening at the Guardians of the Galaxy coaster in Future World as progress continues to move forward!
We noticed that the crane was lifted so blue sheet could be placed on the panels of the building’s roof.
Now that we’ve also seen a sneak peek of the vehicles inside, we can’t wait to explore the cosmos with our favorite band of misfits when Cosmic Rewind debuts!
Well, that’s all for this What’s New at EPCOT! We’ll catch you next time for more updates. And, if you have any questions about your upcoming Disney vacation, let us know so we can help you find the answer!
