We personally LOVE getting Disney gift cards as gifts.
And we use them for lots of things, including buying stuff online and buying stuff in the parks! And don’t forget — you can even use them with Mobile Order at the parks!
If you had cards connected through Disney’s Gift Card Website, you might have noticed some MAJOR changes! Originally, these changes were supposed to happen on January 20th. But the big website upgrade was delayed until February 3rd. Well, now those changes have been made, and here’s what the website looks like now!
But what does this mean for you? You can still log in to the website with your Disney account username and password, but any gift cards you previously had connected to your account are now gone.
You will need access to your physical and digital Disney gift cards, including the full 16-digit account number and EAN to re-add them to your account on the site.
Disney advises that you keep your gift cards with you at all times because they are required to make a purchase. However, your gift card balance will not change. And, once you’ve added your cards to your new account, you’ll be able to check the balances, view transactions, and transfer funds online.
In addition to managing your own cards, you can gift someone a Disney Gift Card with a few simple steps. You have the choice of ordering a Disney Gift Card by Mail or a Disney Gift Card eGift. When you shop gift cards by mail, you can select from over 60 card designs, including Star Wars, Frozen, The Incredibles, and more.
This is certainly a big change, but we’ll let you know if we have any more updates about the new site.
