Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary is getting close!

The big day is October 1st, 2021 — that’s in just a few months! We already have lots to look forward to in the parks: new attractions like Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, a new nighttime show, and even a new restaurant! But with the anniversary getting close, many wondered if there was anything extra special in the works. And now we have some answers!
To celebrate Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary, the parks will host “The World’s Most Magical Celebration”! The event will start on October 1st and continue for 18 months.

And of course, our favorite two mice will get brand-new looks for the event! Mickey and Minnie will both show off new EAR-idescent costumes with gold highlights. They’re lookin’ pretty fancy, right? Minnie’s gold bow even matches Cinderella Castle!

This announcement has gotten us super excited for the upcoming celebrations. We already have some exciting details about how the parks will transform for the occasion, and we can’t wait to learn more! We’ll keep you posted, so stay tuned to DFB.

GREAT COSTUMES PERFECT COLORS FOR THE BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
When will Minnie‘a clothes be available to shop for? Will Mickey and Minnie still wear their trademark clothes?
Sandy, we are keeping our eyes peeled for 50th anniversary merch, so we’ll report when we see it. As for the mice wearing their trademark looks: we’ll have to wait and see. It may be that they wear the new outfits in certain locations (Magic Kingdom, for example) instead of their standard outfits.
