We’re back at EPCOT smelling all the roses — and all the delicious festival food, obvi!
You know we wouldn’t check out the Flower and Garden Festival without telling you all about it! Today, we’ve already brought you our full reviews of the two NEW booths — Sunshine Griddle and Farmers Feast — and now we’re taking a break from all the sweets to visit some healthy and super tasty eats and treats! After all, we eat something green every once in a while!
The Flavor Full Kitchen hosted by AdventHealth is back again this year with snacks and drinks that taste good AND make you feel good!
Menu
Here’s a look at the menu. Just a note that everything on the menu is returning this year.
Food
You can start off your healthy meal with a returning favorite of ours, Grilled Baby Vegetables with Hummus Cream and Red Pepper Coulis. The dish deserves all the plant-based glory because it has a very fresh flavor! For all the carbs and sugar we eat at these festivals, this is a surprisingly great option if you want to say you ate your veggies today. You can give it a try for $4.75.
Once you’ve got your veggies in, you can move onto the main course of Seared Verlasso Salmon with Farro Risotto and Micro Herbs. The farro risotto is delightful! It’s like a thicker, toothier version of “regular” risotto. Super good! Salmon fans will definitely want to check this one out again. The dish costs $6.25.
And, even the healthiest eaters need something sweet to chase down all those vegetables! And, the Strawberry Mousse with Chocolate Crisp Pearls from this booth is eye-catching! We’ve given this returning festival treat a try before and found the mousse to be rather bland but the texture is kinda fun with a nice crunch.
This vibrant treat costs $4.75.
Drinks
The Blood Orange Agua Fresca is back again this year with its refreshing and sweet flavor! Give the non-alcoholic drink a try for $4.25.
And, we’re sure you’ve heard about the dessert called “worms in dirt,” but this booth serves it up with a twist — in drink form! The Cookie Butter Worms and Dirt is BACK as another non-alcoholic option. The drink costs $4.50.
If you’ve got kiddos with you, this is sure to be a hit with them!
Overall
Well, after all that healthy food (OK, healthyish. Cookie butter and mousse are tough to argue are healthy!), we’re headed back to check out the rest of the festival eats! It was good to have some greens for a change — maybe we’ll try that again some other time. 😉 Stay tuned for more news and updates from the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival!
