Hello DFB friends! We’re back to check out this week’s average wait times in a very crowded Disney World!
Disney World has been at capacity for several days now, and in some parks you can really tell based on the wait times. Despite being very busy, some of the less popular attractions saw a decrease in wait times. Today, we’re taking a look at the average wait times in ALL four Disney World theme parks!
Long gone are the days where Seven Dwarfs Mine Train takes the top spot in Disney World. And now, a different attraction has the longest wait time in Magic Kingdom! Splash Mountain averaged 67 minutes this week, making it a jump of 17 minutes from last week!
Other wait times for thrill rides include Space Mountain averaged 47 minutes, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train averaged 59 minutes and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad averaged 37 minutes. Pirates of the Caribbean had a pretty high wait at 48 minutes, and Jungle Cruise had a wait time of 43 minutes.
Attractions with wait times in the 30s include Prince Charming Regal Carrousel at 34 minutes, “it’s a small world” at 38 minutes, Peter Pan’s Flight and Astro Orbiter at 36 minutes, and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin with 33 minutes.
Rides with average waits in the 20s include Mickey’s PhilarMagic at 24 minutes, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh at 23 minutes, and Haunted Mansion at 20 minutes.
With waits in the teens, we saw The Magic Carpets of Aladdin at 16 minutes, Tomorrowland Speedway, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, and Mad Tea Party at 15 minutes, The Barnstormer at 14 minutes, and Under the Sea — Journey of the Little Mermaid at 17 minutes.
Just like the weeks before, there were a handful of attractions with zero minute wait times, including the Enchanted Tiki Room. The Hall of Presidents and Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse are currently under refurbishment.
Most of Magic Kingdom’s very popular attractions had an increase in wait times, but Splash Mountain had a HUGE jump of 17 minutes! The wait time for that attraction really depends on the weather, so it must have been a nice week in Florida. Somehow, many of the less popular attractions actually saw a slight decrease in wait times this week.
Test Track continues to have the longest wait in EPCOT this week at 62 minutes. This time went up 14 minutes this week, and it is becoming one of the longest in Disney World again!
Other popular attractions like Soarin‘ (54 minutes), Frozen After Ever (49 minutes), and Mission: SPACE (43 minutes) also had average wait times that went up a lot this week.
The rest of EPCOT saw fairly low average wait times as usual, including Spaceship Earth with 26 minutes, Journey Into Imagination with Figment with 17 minutes, the Gran Fiesta Tour with 10 minutes, The Seas with Nemo & Friends with 14 minutes, and Living with the Land with 10 minutes.
Similarly to past weeks, all of the films in EPCOT had a zero minute wait. That includes Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival, Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along, Awesome Planet, Impressions de France, and Reflections of China. American Adventure.
The EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival kicked off not too long ago, so it continues to draw guests to the park. That is probably why we are seeing such a big increase in wait times at this park!
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
The longest wait time in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is Slinky Dog Dash again! The Toy Story attraction had an average wait time of 66 minutes this week! Tower of Terror was not far behind with 60 minutes.
Other attractions also had wait times that increased this week like Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run with 54 minutes, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at 39 minutes, and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster averaged 44 minutes.
A few attractions are below those times. Star Tours averaged 33 minutes, Toy Story Mania averaged 31 minutes, and Alien Swirling Saucers and Muppet*Vision 3D averaged 27 minutes.
Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy saw average wait times of 25 minutes which makes them the lowest in the park. Remember that Rise of the Resistance is not included in these numbers due to its virtual queue.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Both attractions in Pandora — the Land of Avatar continue to dominate for highest wait times Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney World as a whole! This week, Flight of Passage had the longest wait time in ALL of Disney World with 73 minutes! It beat Na’vi River Journey who had a slightly lower average of 70 minutes.
Dinosaur had an average wait time of 41 minutes, Kilimanjaro Safaris had an average wait time of 35 minutes, Expedition Everest had an average wait time of 23 minutes, and It’s Tough to Be a Bug had an average wait time of 24 minutes. For the third week in a row, Everest had a lower wait time than the It’s Tough to Be a Bug show!
Triceratop Spin continued to have the shortest wait time in the park with 11 minutes. Kali River Rapids is currently under refurbishment.
This week’s average wait times were kinda’ all over the place! Certain attractions went down in wait times a little bit, while more popular attractions skyrocketed. We hope this look at average wait times helps those of you prepping for a Disney trip soon. Stay tuned to DFB, and check for our weekly wait times next week!
