We’ve gotten some pretty spectacular views of Cinderella Castle, Spaceship Earth, and other icons and spots all around Disney World, and you probably have too during your time in the parks.
But, sometimes unique moments line up perfectly with the beautiful Disney scenery and create some truly spectacular photo opportunities! And that was certainly the case with SpaceX’s overnight launch. Ever wanted to look at a real space rocket blasting off from inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge?
As both Disney and Fox 35 Orlando have shared, SpaceX had an overnight launch recently from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, which created the opportunity for some really unique photos throughout Disney World!
Here’s a peek at the rocket soaring through the sky as seen from near Space Mountain! They were truly ready to blast off!
The SpaceX rocket is carrying four astronauts to the International Space Station. Seems appropriate then, to get a glimpse of it from one of the most out-of-this-world spots in all of the parks — Galaxy’s Edge!
Here’s a peek at the vapor trail from SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket as it hangs in the air following its launch.
And here’s a look at the vapor trail from the Falcon 9 rocket as seen from Cinderella Castle, which is all adorned in advance of the 50th Anniversary celebrations.
What a sight to see!! It can be special to watch a rocket launch into space from anywhere, but seeing it from inside the Disney World theme parks just adds a whole other layer of awesomeness.

Now that is cool… Surprised that Disney does not offer a dining or desert event to exploit the Space Launches from the Cape for guests to take part in… another Magical experience to take home.
