PHOTOS: Cinderella Castle Gets a NEW Addition to Its ✨ Golden ✨ Glow-Up

We’ve been following Cinderella Castle’s iconic transformation closely here at DFB!

In case ya haven’t heard, Cinderella Castle is getting a glow-up for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary! We’re talkin’ new paint, draperies, and MORE. We’ve already gotten a sneak peek at the inspiration behind the new design — and we’ve watched as phase one of the transformation was completed! And now, we’ve got another update for you.

Recently, Disney finished adding all of the draperies around the castle, marking a BIG milestone in the progress. And they look pretty nifty, right?! But look a little closer, because there are more new additions!

Those draperies are lookin’ fancy!

We’ll zoom in for ya. Golden ribbons have been added to some of the turrets!

SO gorgeous!

Disney Imagineer Zach Riddley confirmed that the ribbons were the next step in the transformation, so we’re excited to see progress as planned.

And if you just can’t get enough gold, Fantasyland is getting a makeover for the occasion, too! We’ll keep an eye on all the updates as these projects wrap up. Stay tuned to DFB for the final product — and for more Disney news!
