Behind the Scenes Video Shows How Magic Happens on Cinderella Castle in Disney World

We’ve been keeping up with the 50th anniversary makeover that Cinderella Castle has been getting. It is LOOKING AMAZING!

LOOK at these gorgeous details!

It all started with a new paint job, but then we watched as beautiful drapes were added to the towers and pretty gold ribbons were added to the spires. This ain’t the Pepto-pink castle from 25 years ago!

But if you’re like us, and want to know how they did that, Disney Imagineer Zach Riddley just recently shared a timelapse video of how the ribbons are being installed on the spires. And they did it by digitally modeling each turret on the castle so the ribbons would be a perfect fit. Just wow!

We’re not gonna lie…it totes looks like they’re putting a really big hat on the spire. 😂

They do this overnight so that people like us notice new details on the castle EVERY DAY! Pretty amazing, right? And we’ll continue to follow the progress of the Cinderella Castle makeover — along with all the other big makeovers happening around Disney World before the 50th kicks off.
